  1. I have been waiting sooooo long for a boot from Xero Shoes! Now, start working on those golf shoes!!! 🙂

  2. I wear the Prio’s almost all of the time! The Men’s Hana shoe works well for me in the wintertime, when thicker socks are helpful. I’m really looking forward to the boots.

  3. So excited for the DayLite Hiker!!

  4. I would love to own more xero products, lol. I am looking at getting the prios soon and the daylite hiker would be perfect!

  5. Love my Z-treks! Looking forward to these.

  6. Awesome! I have been waiting for more professional-looking XeroShoes for quite a while. I’ve been wearing the Ipari Hana nonstop since I got my pair in April, and I’ve been thinking that I wouldn’t mind getting a pair of these desert boots (Coaltons, I now know the name) in the near future to use for work/nice occasions, and then I can switch my Hanas to just casual wear. I have to weigh whether I can swing a pair right now… my budget is super tight.

  7. you are amazing! I was wondering what to do shoe-wise as fall and it’s rainy weather is approaching : xero shoes is meeting my needs as soon as they arise! I have been wearing xero shoes for three years now and will never buy another brand. The colors of the DLH are sooo pretty too, can’t wait to try them.
thank you for making perfect shoes for the masses <3 Lots of love

  8. This is awesome!!! Those Coaltons are definitely needed for office wear! You guys are great!

  9. THESE I LIKE. If they fit exactly like the Prio, then I have found my perfect boot. My only worry is the stiffness of the sole.

    1. You may want to look at the video and the reviews where I, and others, roll these up into a ball and twist them into any shape you can think of. Same flexible sole as the Prio.

      1. Saw that! Excited to finally get a boot that (hopefully) won’t make me feel like I’m wearing Frankenstein’s boots.

  10. I’ve been waiting for the more rugged boot, hooray! The Coalton is a little too masculine-looking for me, but I look forward to a women’s style in the future!!

  11. Really? Boots? I want a pair

  12. Also looking forward to wearing the Coaltons around the office…

  13. I’m 95% ready to buy the Daylite Hiker… but what exactly does “highly water resistant” mean compared to “waterproof”?

  14. I was wondering what boot to buy to go hiking with my wife, and then your wonderful boot appears!

  15. The world definitely needs a good pair of zero-drop boots.

  16. Cool.

  17. They would look good with a suit!

  18. Canvas shoes are tough in Michigan in winter, but Xero is all I wear anymore. The Daylite Hikers are soooo welcome!

  19. I hope I’m getting coal(ton) for Christmas. I told my brother to take a hike.

  20. fingers crossed

  21. I love my Xero shoes. I can’t wear anything else without my feet aching me!

  22. Love my Z Treks and Z Trails. The Daylite Hiker looks like it would be great for those days below freezing when I can’t wear my sandals.

  23. I have five pairs of Xero Shoes so I can only imagine that these will be just as great as all my others!

  24. LEATHER on the Coalton? How disappointing from a company that has always produced cruelty-free footwear.

    1. I’m personally thankful for a leather option. In my line of work I need the protection that leather provides to protect my feet from sparks and welding spatter. Thanks xero!

    2. Thanks for your feedback, Chris.

I assume that you go to restaurants and grocery stores that sell both vegan-friendly products and meat, and are glad for the options that work for you. We would hope you see us in a similar way, but actually better, since we have a disproportionate number of vegan-friendly options, including the DayLite Hiker (in fact, with our current plans, we expect to have about 20 vegan-friendly shoes and 1-2 that are not).

FWIW, if you look at other comments, you’ll hear from some of the LARGE number of professionals who’ve been asking for a leather option. Our commitment is to natural movement… and even with this leather product, we’re also committed to being as ethically responsible as possible as we pursue that mission.

  25. I really appreciate the innovation from Xero Shoes. Starting off with the basic sandal and adapting styles around it allows us to use an amazing design for a variety of different contexts. Please keep up the excellent work.

  26. I love the idea of these. I can’t wait to see how great they are in practice.

  27. I have a pair of Prio that I love and everyone in my family has a pair of DiY kit sandals. Hoping to get a pair of these soon as well.

  28. I look forward to having “barefoot” shoes that cover my toes! 🙂

  29. Excited to try the product. I do a lot of ware and tare on my boots everyday. Can’t wait to put them to the test

  30. Hiking has a new orientation – grounded walking.

  31. Ooh! I’m looking forward to these!!

  32. Love me some Zero Shoes!

  33. So excited about these boots.

  34. These boots are absolutely gorgeous! I have been yearning for a boot that wouldn’t feel like hiking with bricks, I have even backpacked with my Xero Hanas, but something more durable may be in order. Good job Xero crew, it appears you made an amazing product that will make adventure and hardy exploration now a minimalist convenience. Cheers!

  35. I got the sandal kit years ago and LOVE them. Was thinking of getting the shoe…but really wanted a boot for the weather here. I’ve been researching about a week now and POOF!…this looks like EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! Can’t wait!

  36. I want so many models! Shoes shoes shoes!

  37. These things look awesome!

  38. Loving my shoes, can only imagine how great the hikers would be!

  39. I love my Xero shoes! They are my go to shoes all day every day for household tasks, walking, and believe it or not they are the shoes I wore during my recovery from foot surgery. My doctor told me that I had better results than other patients! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/cef6cffacb983d8b024858a03d930f167cdb446371388b7813503ebaba9b4633.jpg

  40. Have enjoyed being able to walk again without pain. I have plantar fasciitis and went through too many doctors in the last year only to be told that I will have to have surgery if all of their other treatments didn’t work. Well after three weeks in these shoes I am able to walk distances again. Though the pain is not completely gone, but at least I am mobile, and in time it will be gone.

  41. Would love to get a pair of these on my step-son’s feet, a stylish replacement for his current hole-y sneakers!

  42. I am pumped about more xero shoes for cooler weather. I like the low bootie, but am even more excited for the next evolution…maybe a mid-calf boot? Either way I want those day hikers. Thanks Xero!

  43. Have yet to try xero shoes. I’ve been waiting for a sale. Maybe i can just win some!

  44. So excited for the new boots!

  45. Love the fact that Xero Shoes is going to be offering a boot now…

  46. Definitely would love to have the experience in receiving a pair. My Xero sandals are my go to and the boots would be any different.

  47. I’ve been researching what to do for a hiking boot now that I live life feet first! Great news.

  48. Ready for these boots!

  49. Would love a pair of these boots!

  50. I am so excited by both of these new additions..not a single shoe have I worn other than my hanas since oct of 2016!Am so thrilled with both the newer dressier work look and the warmer or more covered boot..i have set an alarm to order on Sept 20th!! Woohoo!!

  51. I’ve been desperately looking for hiking boots that allow my feet to feel more natural, these look like just the ticket.

  52. I need these on my feet right now! Let the adventures begin. Nice work Xero!! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. Best wishes from Ontario.

  53. I am certainly not a Xerophobe. Sign me up!

  54. Can’t wait for these boots!! It’s always a sad day when it gets too cold for my Xero Shoes sandals. Yay boots!

  55. Would love those for work boots. My feet feel so much better after wearing Prio’s for everyday wear in one month. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Steven!!!

  56. I once hiked to the rice terraces of Batad in the Philippines with just the regular old sandals. Ouch. These would be great!

  57. Those Coaltons will change my city boy life!

  58. Love the Daylight Hiker wish the Coalton was Vegan.

  59. Yes. Been waiting for some boot action.

  60. Absolutely love my z-trek sandals that I have been wearing for hiking, but still looking for the perfect hiking boot. Looks like the DayLite Hiker is going to be the One! Thank you so much!!!!

  61. Extra discount for buying both? Why yes, I think I will please.

  62. I would love a pair of these for hiking!!! They look amazing and I love my zero shoes!

  63. These look amazing for hiking!! I love my zero shoes!

  64. I’d love to take my pup hiking again but since I suffer from plantar fasciitis it’s such a struggle. Maybe these boots would help make that possible again:)

  65. Can’t wait to get these on my feet!!

  66. So excited for these!!! Xero all day every day!

  67. So excited for Coalton – now just need one with finished leather I can wear with my suit!

  68. They are perfect for me, so pick me. 😀

  69. There has not been one day or evening that I have not work a Xeroshoes pair of sandals or shoes. Everyone asks me about them, they want to know where I got them and why I wear them. The answer is simple. Xeroshoes saved my feet, and made my everyday lifestyle and travel lifestyle simple. They are the best, and my feet feel stronger. I I have falling arches and these have improved them ten fold. Keep it up, and ” keep it moving!” 😉

  70. Love my zero shoes and sandals. Has totally changed my walk and helped with back pain. Looking forward to the new boots!

  71. Love the look of the Coalton!

  72. There’s nothing I’ve wanted more than to wear my Xeroshoes to work! I’m required to wear close-toed dress shoes, so the Coalton is my dream come true! If I don’t win, it’s on my Christmas list for sure!

  73. I’d be very interested to see how the daylite hiker holds up to a round of disc golf!

  74. Love the daylight hiker!

  75. I can’t wait to try my first pair! I have been using sanuks and corda sandals but excited to try some more technical shoes!

  76. I’ve been running and hiking in my zero z-trails all summer – would love to have the same experience in boots for the winter!

  77. My boss at work always walks by while I’m on this website. He probably thinks I own 100 pairs of shoes. Winning these new boots would definitely send me on my way! (I only own 3 pairs, not including some sport-specific shoes…) From xero to 100, lezgo!

  78. (/ .□.) ︵╰(゜Д゜)╯︵ /(.□. )
I’m flipping out over those boots! Gotta get me a pair to give my xero sandals a buddy. :3

  79. I love the idea of maintaining my ‘barefoot’ connection with the earth while keeping my toesies cozy in the colder months!

  80. Love my sandala- the boots look great!

  81. Look great

  82. These look like awesome boots!

  83. I would love a chance wear these stylish boots!

  84. Xero shoes are the best thing out there! I have been given multiple compliments on my Hanas and sandals, and they are more comfortable today than when I bought them months ago. Thanks for a great product, Steven, and the best customer service around!

  85. Hoping to win a pair. Would send them to my son, a soldier in the US Army! <3

  86. The Coaltons look fantastic! I’ve been wearing minimalist footwear for about 7 years now and these would be the first pair for me that don’t get funny looks (yes, all of my current minimalist shoes have toes). I would love to have folks say to me “John! You’re wearing normal shoes!!” only to show them *still* wrong with the awesomeness that is Xero’s new boots!

  87. until now i didn’t know where i put my feet.

  88. I’ve loved the other Xero Shoes I own ( the Z-Trail and the Hana shoes) — I’m sure I’ll like these — would love to have both – lots of uses!

  89. Looking forward to trying the DayLite Hiker!

  90. nice shoe, feels good, wanna try it in the Malaysia wet humid jungles 🙂

  91. Oooh boots!

  92. I can’t wait for the boots!!

  93. cOmFy ShOeS 4 LyFe!!!

  94. Excited to perhaps have found a barefoot shoe suitable for technical trails like the Kalalau Kauai!

  95. The Hikers actually looks like they could make pretty sweet hightop sneakers. I dig it.

  96. I cannot wait to try the DayLite Hiker AND the Coalton. 😀

  97. I bought a pair of xero sandals 3 years ago and they’re still going strong! I love them!

  98. So much want

  99. Love the Coalton! There aren’t enough zero drop work friendly shoes out there.

  100. Can’t wait to get other xero shoes. I have a hardcore sandal tan from wearing only xero shoe sandals all summer…

  101. These are awesome! I need some!!!

  102. These looks great! Would love to try them out.

  103. Love my Prios for running and paddle boarding! Winter is coming and the Daylite Hiker is calling my name!

  104. I could use some boots to climb a mountain high and down a valley low. If I win some boot I’ll be forever grateful. God bless

  105. I’m so glad you guys are finally making boots! They look rad

  106. I can’t wait to try the hike! It’s so tough finding minimal hiking shoes. How’s the tread? That’s my only issue with my Z-Trails. I tend to lose traction when I’m hiking our Colorado Front Range trails with loose granite.

  107. I ordered my first pair of Xeros last week (picked the Hana). They should be here today or tomorrow and I cant’ wait to try them out.

  108. Oh man oh man. Xero boots. I gotta have a pair

  109. I LOVE my xeroshoes! My friend bought some and turned me on to them. Now there are four of us mamas in our outdoor school homeschool group that have them. Plus, one kiddo and one dad! My kids will be getting some after winter, too.

  110. I loved trekking around Israel, Athens, Rome, and Scotland in my Xero shoes—thank you! I would love a pair of the Coaltons!

  111. Wearing my Zero sneakers now and love them….can’t wait to get a pair of the Coalton.

  112. Love the quality and comfort of my Xero trail sandals as well as the shoes. I’d love to get a pair of boots for hiking in the winter snow!!

  113. I love in black, looks great a a lot of great reviews!

  114. To be honest, it’s going to be hard trying to win over my Z-treks. Those babies have been in zero degrees, 110 degrees, and have collected many fossils on slopes.

My job is going to want me to cover up my feet and I’m just not one for boots. However, if the Daylite Hiker can mimic the greatness of my Z’s with the nice flexibility, lightweight, and ‘room’, you’ll have another convert.

I’d really love test these out. Really bad! I hike in pretty mixed terrain (somewhere with a big crack in Arizona) for a living and I’d honestly love to give you guys feedback on the boots.

    Stay thirsty my friends! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/069915bcc661c6be882302a9856347f7d4874950aba9c1bf027aba2853180e01.jpg

  115. If these boots are made for walkin’, that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days these boots are gonna walk to me from you..? They’ll look so good out on the trails, paired with my daisy dukes!!

  116. Super excited to get my first pair of Xero shoes!

  117. I am a Xero boot hold out… my hubby has been bugging me every time we go out to get a new pair of hiking boots as only pair of traditional boots have been taped and glued back together (they are falling apart), or any pair of shoes. He thinks I need more than simply Xero sandals (I wear my Z-treks 95% of the time) and I told him I’d get a pair of shoes. He says when!? I say, when I can get Xero boots! (Please get here soon!)

  118. My Birthday is on October 3rd..
These are the perfect Birthday Shoes to match my Birthday Suit !

  119. *Manly Squeeeee of delight!* 😉

Think I might be getting new boots soon™

  120. Woo

  121. I’ve been wearing the Prio for about a week and I love them. I’m looking forward to buying both the daylight Hiker and the Coalton. I’ve been wearing minimal shoes for years now and the Prio is the perfect balance of comfort and protection.

  122. I absolutely love zero shoes. I have a pair of vivobarefoot boots that are starting to wear(had them for 5+ years) and have been waiting before investing the 200+ dollars to get another pair. I’m so happy to see this hiking boot and look forward to wearing it already!

  123. They look so comfortable, rugged, stylish, and comfortable, I just love everything about them!!

  124. I’ve been in the market for some new boots and these look like a fine pair of hikers. Well done.

  125. I hope they offer flexibility in the soles. The Hana don’t quite flex well for my stride. They are still comfortable, and I wear them every day.

  126. I’ve put on over 10,000 km on my motorcycle with my PRIOs. I love love love the breath-ability, particularly during our hottest summer in ages. The PRIOs, however, aren’t really what you would consider as motorcycle shoes. I’ve often thought, and not a thought I would have more any other applications, that something a little more robust with some ankle protection but with the same flexible sole and wide toe box would be the ticket for continued motorcycle use. Hello, DayLite Hiker. 🙂

  127. Love the DayLite Hiker… still wear my barefoot sandals daily but they don’t work for everything… these look to compliment the Hana’s I already have

  128. YES!! I already plan on purchasing one coalton and one daylight hiker.. gosh.. as Tevye would say “If I were a rich man..” I would get each of these in both black and brown. Brown daylights for *actually* hiking (planning a Grand Canyon trek with my dad) and the all-black daylights look like incredible deadlift shoes. And I’d wear the Coaltons in either color around the office. Seems like a pretty good investment in my foot-forward living. 🙂

  129. I need a pair of The Coalton. I am wearing out my Ipari Hanas real good

  130. I trained for hiking the PCT in my Iparis in the high desert mountains behind the house. They got pretty muddy with the amount of rain the west got this spring, but it just added character to them. I’d wear them to all of my classes and work and leave trails of dried mud everywhere… I ultimately ended up breaking my foot and getting off the PCT, and have just gotten to the point in healing where my foot feels okay to walk after nerve damage from the walking boot. I found my Iparis where I spirited them away and I can’t wait to dissapear up into the mountains with them again, after months of not being able to walk or hike! I’d absolutely LOVE to have a second pair of Xero shoes for hiking so I don’t have to worry about washing the mud off of them. See you on the PCT in 2018!

  131. Looks interesting, would like a zip or velcro option though.

  132. Needed something to replace my Clouds in the winter – perfect!

  133. The low profile and black color of the Coalton seems like something I can use, comfortably, in more formal settings. Thanks to Xero Shoes for the excellent solution to help make our professional lives more pleasant.

  134. I love how stylish they are. Look comfy too.

  135. Can retire my high heel hiking boots now…

  136. Looking for a Win!

  137. They feel like your not wearing shoes

  138. Ohhh.., the daylite hikers look like they would be perfect for my beachcombing adventures! I usually wear a pair of trainers and always return home with wet and sore feet.

  139. Looking to try my first xero shoes! I can’t decide which boot I like more so I might just have to get both!

  140. Can’t wait to get both!

  141. The humans didn’t like it when I walked around barefoot, they didn’t really approve of the “foot gloves” from that “other brand”, and all of the other zero-drop shoes that claimed to have a “natural feel”, never really “worked” for me, anything that crunches the sides of my feet and toes, is not “natural”, then I found XERO, your Barajas sandals were cute and, unlike traditional flip flops, were more comfortable to walk longer distances in, then I bough the trek sandals, and then the sneakers, and now I’m entering a contest for boots, I probably won’t win, so I’ll end up buying those as well, then I’ll buy or enter to win whatever else you all dream up in the future, and all will be right with the world.

  142. I’m SOooo ready to ditch my hiking boots for a pair of these DayLite Hikers !! Praying for some luck here : )

  143. Xero shoes are amazing. I am getting mine in the next week or two. My friend just backpacked 8 miles with me while wearing his Z-Trails. And he only had good things to say about his shoes and I had tons of questions especially since I work at 1 of 2 Xeroshoe retailers in Arizona. I am going to keep selling these shoes because they are incredible and serve a great purpose! I have seen first hand how great they are in a backcountry environment and even better I can wear socks when I get cold!!!

  144. Can’t wait to slid on a pair of hikers man! The adventure continues

  145. Really excited about the vegan hikers as ours are getting old now and I love my Lenas. Hubby managed to lose his hikers so I suppose I ought to get him a pair first!

  146. Just love Xero shoes, have the running shoes and they are like a pair of slippers. Run in my Xero shoes everyday and be super cool to get the hiking boots as I am passionate about being in the wilderness and touch base with nature everyday. Totally recommend this brand for ultimate comfort, its a pleasure to be outdoors in them and makes you want to just get out and explore just to use them 🙂

  147. It’s awesome that xero shoes is expanding towards something more casual. That way we won’t have a sporty look all the time

  148. Can’t wait to try these!

  149. I was just about to email you guys that I badly need you to make boots! I would also love to see childrens’ shoes as they are being discontinued at several barefoot brands.
    (Does anyone read this?)

    1. a) Yes, we read these 😉

      b) Kids products are on our to-do list.

  150. I’ve been waiting for you to make something like both these shoes ever since I started wearing my first DIY xeroshoes sandals, two or three years ago I guess, I can’t really remember. I use them all year round, and only put on a pair of socks when it’s REALLY freezing cold, and then again, mostly to keep people from asking me “aren’t your feet cold?”. But there are different situations where walking in barefoot or in a pair of huaraches is socially quite disturbing, so being able to fit in a bit more while still feeling the freedom of xeroshoes is something I wholeheartedly welcome. Thank you Stephen, Lena, and the whole team at xeroshoes! Very grateful to you.

  151. I have been researching minimalist boots for a while now and not been able to find a good option. I think we have one at last!

  152. Both look great! Can’t wait to finally get some hiking boots that don’t weight a ton 😀

  153. If you make these in a size 15, I’ll give them a 15 star review.

  154. They look good– love the purple!

  155. Winter is coming….and now we have boots! Awesome – my feet will be toasty 🙂

  156. The White Walkers are on their way, but I know Jon Snow, Tyrion, Daenerys, Cersei, Sansa, Arya and their supporters are going to crush them so easily with the new Xero boots on their feet.

  157. Love these! I’m always taking teenagers on DofE expeditions, and the Daylite Hikers would be perfect for this.

  158. I just love the look of these plus the fact that you now offer shoes to cover less casual uses

  159. This is awesome! I can’t wait to try them!

  160. Looking forward to a shoe around 100 bucks I can live a city life with!

  161. Looking awesome! Would love to get either one! I love hiking, and I have hiked in your sandals, but sometimes the weather doesn’t permit that.

  162. Very tough decision! I think I’m leaning more towards the Daylite Hiker.

  163. Are the Coalton or Daylite available internationally ?

    1. We ship internationally. Some of our dealers — http://www.xeroshoes.com/stores/ — will be carrying these as well.

  164. Maybe an unconventional use, but i’ve been looking for a service industry shoe that’s actually made for feet (for like 5 years now), and i think the coalton in all black might just be the ticket, so i signed up for that vip list to hopefully get a chance to try it out asap!

  165. Really pleased to see a leather shoe, will the Coalton be available in the UK. Is it actually leather, suede or nubuck?

  166. Loving the look of the new boots – understated enough for day to day wear (without looking like you’re going hiking after work)

  167. These boots are both light and sturdy – impressive! I may swap these for my current hiking boots!

  168. The Coalton boots are going to be fantastic when we work muddy festivals, a bit of waterproofing & I’ll have nice dry feet!

  169. Wow, I the light hiking boot looks awesome! Just what I need this summer to get back on the tracks. So nice of you to get it out just in time for spring in the Southern Hemisphere 🙂

  170. Having worn my Hana shoes to work for a couple of weeks now I think I’m ready to take my zero-drop minimalist shoes experiment to the next level. I hike several miles up 1500′ elevation to fly my paraglider almost every weekend, sometimes twice or more. Sometimes I’ll walk a couple of extra miles to public transit from the park and then home. It can be tough going with a 40 pound backpack containing the glider and I’ve had my fair share of damaged nails, blisters and painful toes. So I think the new DayLite boots could be a perfect match and make my hike more enjoyable and kinder to my feet. Plus every ounce less of weight helps me stay in the air longer and fly further! So I look forward to trying them and posting a photo like this but with my nice new DayLite’s on my feet!

  171. Wow! They look very nice the new boots. I would love to try them!

  172. I’ve only just entered the barefoot world and I like the new Coalton model!

  173. Can’t wait for the casual boots. Got the shoes now and wear them to work all the time

  174. I just started with the sandals for a more barefoot summer and i am excited to continue onto winter with some warm shoes ! I hope they work well in snow 😉

Thank You for your work !
    Jaquie

  175. And at the Black Lodge of course. The chevron soles match the floor there.

  176. They do look amazing and the coulors are beautiful. Thank you so much for listening to the community and making these. I can’t wait to get them. Just what I need for my hiking trip next spring 🙂

  177. Finally a minimalist shoe you can wear at work with out getting the boot

  178. I like that I could wear the Coalton to work and be both comfy and looking sharp.

  179. Useful!

  180. I just got the Prio shoes. They are great. Everything I expected. I would Imagine the new Boot would be just as good, if not better.

  181. Finally a minimalist boot to wear during the long Wisconsin winters!!

  182. Hi, I’m so excited to see your new hiking boots. I bought your DIY huaraches 2 years ago and I wear them most of the year. They were first minimalist / barefoot shoes I bought and so are my first love 🙂
Anyway, since then I’ve been looking for minimalist hiking boots for winter months, but couldn’t find anything satisfying.
Problem is that I live in Croatia and here is almost impossible to find any kind of minimalist shoes and especially hiking boots are all heavy, heeled, not elastic… And I hike a lot. Hiking relaxes me, makes me feel alive, happy, part of the nature… every part of me except my feet. Now with your hiking boots I hope this will change and my feet too will be happier and closer to nature even in winter. Thank you :*

  183. I’ve been looking for a shoe like the Daylite Hiker for years!

  184. Just got my Prios, would love some boots

  185. Weather turning here in Ireland so perfect timing for a pair of DayLite Hikers

  186. I like the idea of a nice boot for winter !

  187. I wear my prios and hanas all the time.. love the comfort and durability.. I’m eyeing those Coaltons.. I have been thinking about getting minimalist boots from another brand but never pulled the trigger.. These Coalton boots blow those other ones out of the water..

  188. Enjoying my sandals! Would like some closed-toe shoes!

  189. Love my Hannas – use them for hiking but would like a boot for longer hikes.

  190. They really help my plantar fasciitis!

  191. I wore my Trails all summer. They were the only shoe I wore during our two-week trip to St. Croix. My feet have never been happier. I’m starting a new job and need some winter work footwear. The Coalton would be perfect!

  192. My son needs a pair of these.

  193. I want this – A shoe that I can wear in most occasions + on the trail? One bag FTW!

  194. Love my sandals so I would anticipate loving the hiking boots.

    BAT

  195. I’M SO FRIGGIN’ EXCITED ABOUT THESE NEW BOOTS!!!!!

  196. The purple Daylight Hiker are pretty rad & your 5000 sole warranty is awesome too =)

  197. I have been waiting so long for these!!! Every day my feet yell at me for switching from my trails to my nasty hurtful mean ugly work boots. I want to listen, but sharp pointy nasty dangerous things mean I must protect them.

  198. I just pre-ordered my pair of the Coalition and my wife’s pair of the DayLite Hiker (a surprise gift for her!!!!!), and I am MORE excited than a fat kid with ice cream on the hottest summer day!!!!! I’m so honored to be a Xero investor!

  199. The DayLite Hiker is the boot I’ve been searching for!!! These look amazing!

  200. Looking forward to the daylite hiker as an all around shoe.

  201. Looking forward to trying out the Coaltons…they look amazeballs.

  202. I was just thinking about Xero shoes and wishing they had some dressier shoes. What good timing!

  203. The coaltons look great.

  204. Gotta have than.

  205. I love the look of the day life hiker…would love to try a pair. I would love it if xero shoes would come out a minimal waterproof winter boot for those if us in cold climates.

  206. I’m a barefoot, shoe hating gal so these boots are basically my dream come true! I love the Coaltons!

  207. I have been waiting for Xero boots what seems like forever!

  208. Yeah! Something new for winter.

  209. I can’t wait to try out the new Coalton. I’ve needed a closed-toe shoe for work and these look perfect!

  210. I’m an avid explorer and hiker, and winning these shoes will make my future adventures even more enjoyable! ^__^

  211. Zero shoes are awesome!! Definetly the next best thing to running barefoot!!

  212. Excited for these new shoes! So excited that they get shipped quickly…some DHL for some DLH? 😛

  213. I love my prios and am looking forward to buying the hiking boots!

  214. Closed toes for very cold, snowy, environments. Thank you for making me winter “sandals”!

  215. very nice shoes and confortable

  216. I would walk 5000 miles, and I would walk 5000 more. Just to be so happy when these boots show up at my door.

  217. very comfortable

  218. Excited to be able to wear the coltons to work…finally a dress shoe I can feel good in

  219. I love hiking in my minimalist shoes, but I would love something that stays more firmly on my feet and keeps more debris out. These look great!

  220. They look great and comfy.

  221. Love hiking so these would be great.

  222. I’ve been wanting a good minimalist winter boot for a long time and these look great!

  223. Another great looking shoe for perfect foot comfort! 🙂

  224. Excited for the daylite hiker and the coaltons!

  225. I love hiking and backpacking in minimal footwear – but have always longed for a more protective boot style minimal for chilly days on the Sierra Nevada granite! I am so excited that xero is filling this gap in the minimal shoe world!

  226. Can’t wait to see what the Coalton is holdin in store for me as my feet will be emboldened, to hike and journey without care or a worry.

  227. How convenient, I was just thinking that I need new running shoes for the winter. Thanks Xero shoes, great timing.

  228. I love my Xero sandals! Hope I win!

  229. These look exciting, are they going to be coming out in women’s style/sizes soon too? Or are these unisex?

    1. The DayLite Hiker comes in Women’s and Men’s styles/sizes. The Coalton, for now, is a “unisex/men’s” product… sort of like how the Hana is (a more “men’s” shape, that many women — especially those with wider feet — are enjoying)

    2. The DayLite Hiker comes in men’s and women’s sizes/styles. The Coalton is “men” only… see the video for more details.

  230. Hiking boots? And just when I’m getting back into backpacking after a 20 year hiatus?

    Yes, please!

  231. I just went hiking this week in my xero shoes because hiking boots always seem to be so thick! Excited to see xero has a hiking boot now!

  232. I can’t wait for the hiking boots to be released!

  233. BOOOOTS!?! Yes please!!!
Now I don’t have to be the weirdo in winter wearing plastic bags and wool socks with my Z-trails anymore! 😀

  234. So excited for the hiking boots! I’ve been wearing my Xero sandals almost exclusively since buying them early Spring. I would occasionally switch back to a different pair of what I used to consider “minimalist” shoes so the tops of my feet would be protected from pricker bushes and poison ivy during off-trail hiking, but no more! I was also dreading the onset of winter in the Northeast, not only because of the cold, but because I didn’t know what I was going to do about shoes. But you know I’m looking at these and saying, “I’m sure I can get away with a pair of these and winter socks”. 😉

  235. Would love the coalton for my honey, we have a casual wedding to attend and these would be perfect!

  236. Love my sandals & my Prios! I’m sure I’d absolutely love a pair of Coaltons for the office!

  237. Can wait for the hiking boots- first trip in them will be to Zion!

  238. Hiking boots! Exactly what I needed.

  239. I just got a pair of the Prio running shoes and they are wonderful!

  240. vthey are very comfortable and take very little break in time before using

  241. I just got a pair of Prio running shoes and they are wonderful.

  242. Sweet boots, nice addition to the line!

  243. Check with http://www.xeroshoes.co.uk (an independent dealer) about availability.

The Coalton is a leather shoe.

  244. The Prio is a good shoe for light outings, but for more adventurous off trail ventures, I’m hoping the DLH gets the job done. Sierra summits, here we come 😉

  245. Cool! How well will the Coalton keep out water? Asking for those of us here in the Pacific North Wet 😀

  246. These look worth a shot. I love trying new minimalist footwear.

  247. I own the diy sandals, the true fit sandals, the Prios, and just ordered the Daylite Hikers and the Coaltons and I don’t even like shoes! Xero Shoes has me well and truely hooked.

  248. Love the sandals and can’t wait for the Daylight Hikers.

  249. These look pretty good. Hope I get to try them out!

  250. I own three pairs of Xero products. Cant wait to get my hands on the new Coalton’s.

  251. The Daylight hikers look super lightweight!!

  252. I’ve been waiting for this!

  253. How much of a mesh is the top material of the DayLite Hiker? If walking in sand will they immediately fill up with sand or is the fabric tight enough that it will keep it out?

  254. Have 2 pairs of the Hana’s that I love. Can’t go back to “normal” shoes now. Was wondering what I was going to do about shoes this winter and now I know – the DayLite Hiker!

  255. For years I walked,
My toes stuffed in a box,
    Crowded and contorted,
My toes screamed out “this sucks,”

Then one day I read a book,
    That set my spirit alight,
It was called Born to Run,
    It hit me just right,

I said goodbye to the narrow toe box,
    And heel stacked blues,
    While embracing the glory,
    Of zero drop shoes,

    And now when I run,
    Walk or climb stairs,
    Sit at my art table,
    Or leap through the air,
    My feet are so happy,
    My toes wiggle with glee,
    Thanks to xeroshoes,
    My feet are happy.

  256. I might have to get a pair of those boots. I am wearing through my Lems Boulder Boots (which are great in most ways) in only about 250-300 miles. Xeros shoes have a reputation and warranty for longer life than that! I’m curious how much sharp-rock protection the soles have. On long backpacking trips in Lems, my feet feel bruised on the bottoms despite pretty thick soles.

  257. Excited to try these! Love my xero sandals and if love to have the same feeling in the winter!

  258. From the pyramids of Teotihuacan, to the silver lined streets of Taxco, to the rugged Spanish Creek hiking trails of the Big Sky Montana, to awe inspiring hikes in Banff national park, to the urban greenbelt trails of my backyard in Austin Texas, my Xero Shoes z-trail sandals have let me feel the ground! I have worn them everyday for over a year. I’d love to add the Daylite Hiker to my “bare foot” arsenal to enhance many adventures to come!

  259. Xeros rock! I am a husband, dad of 3, back yard homesteader with chickens and rabbits, full time desk jockey (booooo), competitive cyclist, camper, hiker, coffee snob, and musician. I have yet to find an activity outside of cycling that I wouldn’t prefer to have my feet in Xeros. Good product. Good living.

  260. Go xero! This boot is the answer to all my prayers, I couldn’t ask for anything more functional for a mountain woman hehe, hope they live up to the expectations, because I’ll ride them rough!

  261. Never have used any sort of hiking boot, and especially not now that try to keep to barefoot styles, so would be interested in trying the DayLite Hiker.

  262. Xero shoes are my go to footwear and now with the Colton they’re even more fashion forward. It’s a win win all around.

  263. I’m about to be doing a lot of outdoor volunteer work and was about to start looking for boots. The hiker looks like the perfect solution!

  264. Just what I needed :3

  265. The Daylite Hiker looks awesome!

  266. I don’t suppose today, 09/15/2017 being my 36th birthday, wins me a pair of those hiker boots?

  267. very much looking forward to trying out these shoes…both styles …and recommending them to my clients ultimately!

  268. Both those boot models look good.

  269. Did you know that i share a birthday with Prince Harry? September 15th is a great day for a birthday.

  270. these look great.

  271. I feel like these now COMPLETE Xero Shoes. It doesn’t matter what activity you want to do, there’s a Xero for you!

  272. Great good luck everybody!

  273. I was just wondering when there would be a Xero Shooes Boot!

  274. YESSSS

  275. Make a shin high waterproof/winter proof model PLEEEASE

    1. That is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

  276. Possibilities

  277. I don’t know what color to get!!

  278. Office approved.

  279. Love my Xero Z-Trails, so I know I’d love the Daylite Hiker!

  280. Great, I am looking forward for the Hiker boots! I hope it will be good enought to survive my trails 🙂

  281. wow, these look amazing. I think I want the daylite hiker!

  282. Those are some lofty prices! I hope the discount keeps dropping.

  283. that it’s quality!

  284. Cannot wait to have a pair!

  285. I’m new to Xero shoes. I got my first pair a little over a week ago and so far, I’m impressed! I can already feel my feet getting stronger….in fact, I just took the insoles out yesterday.
I was hoping that a hiking boot, or similar, would be coming soon. Living in NH, something for the winter is necessary. Perfect timing guys!

  286. Once I actually watched the video and figured out how to size them, I loved them!

  287. The new colors are great! Any chance we can get the Prio in all black at some point too? No rush, my blue pair in brand new, so sometime around say…5000 miles or so for me!

    1. Coming in about 5-6 months.

      1. Great to hear!

  288. I love my Prio, have logged over 100 miles just in workouts alone they are holding up great

  289. comfortable

  290. They look awesome!

  291. I have three pairs of Xero shoes…sandals, casual Hannas and the Prio…Needless to say, I don’t wear anything else. With winter coming, I have no doubt the Coalton will hit the sweet spot for colder weather!

  292. I’m really happy you created them! People are already looking at me like I’m insane walking in your huaraches when it’s cold and raining here in Poland. I will see how DayLight Hikers will work in autumn/winter season 🙂 thank you!

  293. Looking forward to these. Will probably apply some waterproofing to the coltons.

  294. Can’t wait to try the hiker but also interested in the boots.

  295. Hiking Boots: Awesome news!

  296. They look pretty sweet

  297. I need a nice pair of black boots and I think the Coalton will be perfect!

  298. Same here

  299. DayLite hiker model would be perfect for the North Shore trails in this part of the world.

  300. If I win the black Coaltons then I’ll be one step closer to being able to wear Xero shoes 24/7! And once I’m able to wear Xero shoes 24/7 then I’ll be able to donate all of my non-zero drop shoes (not including my basketball shoes, not sure if I can play basketball in Xero shoes just yet). So by giving me a free pair of Coaltons you’ll also be donating multiple shoes to others in need, it’s a win-win-win!

  301. Great design!

  302. No more nettles between my toes!

  303. I love my Xero shoes; I have 5 of them (Prio, Hana, Z-Trail, Cloud and DIY) . Now I will get both the new ones too and also the Hiker to my kids. I can’t find good barefoot shoes in their size and Hiker will be perfect for the winter season!

  304. I love my Xero Prio shoes! They look great, feel great and are one of the few shoes I can wear that don’t cause back pain. I will be buying a pair of these boots, even if I don’t win!

  305. I love my Prio shoes! I will definitely buy these boots if I don’t win them!

  306. Although I always wear Xero sandals or go barefoot for my morning walk/runs, after a bad ankle injury I stuck with a pair of ankle height boots from a well known brand for hiking. Surprisingly, I never felt very secure in these as the thick, rigid sole negated all ground feel and ‘see-sawed’ over uneven terrain, thus severely hindering stability. I bought a pair of Prios and immediately felt safe and secure because I could feel the ground and my feet could flex and stretch, ‘grabbing’ the terrain rather than rocking over it. For the first time since my injury, I could even rock hop without fear! Of course, such activity is pretty rough on the Prios, so I’m really looking forward to the extra durability of the DayLite Hiker!

  307. After getting a pair of the prios I kept thinking how nice it would be to have boots with a lot of same attributes. Wish Granted!

  308. Looks awesome!

  309. Cant wait to stick my size 12 EE flippers into a pair of these and beat the terrain with’em!

  310. Coalton all the way, and FINALLY something in basic black!

  311. Dear DayLite Xero, won’t you be my toes’ hiking hero?!

  312. I’ll bet there will be “Xero” regrets to wearing these boots

  313. These look so awesome! Can’t wait to see them in action.

  314. These look great! Can’t wait!

  315. I like the Daylite Hiker, but the Gray, Yellow, & Black colorway…. Yeah….. Can we get blue instead?? 😀

  316. I can’t wait for the Coltons

  317. So many colors…So many choices…

  318. Are these boots as good for knocking as they are for walking?

  319. Xero shoes are awesome!! Can’t wait to wear them!!

  320. With the covered foot, will these still help me…toe the line =)

  321. I have an entire family of hikers – what is the multi-boot discount on 4 pair?

    1. The Launch Sale discount will definitely be bigger than any volume discount we’d have… so stay tuned.

  322. Good timing….winter is coming o.O

  323. Looks like the most flexible hiking boots I’ve seen! Definitely at the the top of my wish list.

  324. I’m planning a major hiking trip next year, and would love to brag about how my Xero hiking boots are easier on my feet, knees, and back than those big blocks of hard rubber everyone else straps to their feet. 😉

  325. Can’t wait to hit the trails in DayLite Hiker!

  326. Wow! These shoes are stunning, I have my pair of sandals for a month now and I am deeply in love only while it gets colder and above all more rainy in The Netherlands my feet feel like they are freezing everytime I wear them. Even with socks! With that being said, a pair of these beautiful shoes would be awesome!

  327. Looking forward to the coalton!

  328. Since wearing Xero sandals and going barefoot in most situations over a year ago, I haven’t suffered from previously periodic bouts of gout in my feet – without changing either diet or exercise regimen. I imagine the natural flexing and stretching (not possible in ‘normal’ shoes) has prevented uric acid crystals from being deposited in the joints of my feet. Looking forward to continuing my ‘therapy’ by traipsing through my beloved Aussie bushland in a pair of DayLites!

  329. Relevant!

  330. Looking forward to them. Just can’t decide which color I want.

  331. These look fantastic. Really wanting a barefoot style boot.

  332. I wear uncomfortable boots around the fire station 3 days a week, and am an active outdoorsman the other days. I am looking for a good looking boot like the Coalton, and cannot wait for them to be released!

  333. I am a Firefighter and wear uncomfortable boots around the Fire Station 3 shifts a week. I am a believe in minimal footwear, and cannot wait for the Coalton to be released to use during all of my outdoor activities this winter. Hurry up and release them please.

  334. That Coalton in black looks awesome!

  335. Love the Prios. Need something to be stylishly subversive in the office – Coaltons!

  336. These will knock the living DAYLITES out of (someone) when they see it on my feet! I’ll for sure have a coal(TON) of memories, experiences, dirt, and maybe even start a new trend. So stoked!

  337. Great sweeps, hope to win a pair!

  338. Barefoot boots. The final boot-tier. Boldly booting where no boots have gone before.

    BOOTS

    1. Well said. 😉

  339. Can’t wait to get a pair of the hikers!!

  340. The hikers look cool! What kind of sole do they have?

    1. Take a look at the video on this page ( http://www.xeroshoes.com/boots/ ) where I talk about the sole.

  341. I think they’re marvellous and I’ll get both

  342. Can’t wait to get these on my feet!

  343. They look gread, and I’m sure they’re just as comfortable

  344. Love my xero shoes. Can’t wait for the coltons

  345. Totally great! I got the email and wanted to write back 😉 it’s nice when the owners and creators get involved on the business with the customers!

  346. Love the leather look

  347. I will be getting both! I have quite the collection of xero’s.

  348. Daylite Hiker please

  349. I can’t wait, I have the Prios and love them…

  350. I love the Daylite Hiker because they are perfect for all my hiking trips, riding my motorcycle & they have a reinforced toe box to protect my toes!

  351. Zero drop, my feet
love Xero Shoes. Flex, Bend, Feel
    the Earth. Limits: few.

  352. That Coalton looks so hip and stylish I can tell you what will happen when I wear it:

I will walk into any bar, approach the barstool with confidence and sure-footed barefoot freedom, and sit down. The bartender will walk over and say “What can I get for y… That is a fine looking shoe, drinks are on the house.”

    True story.

  353. Daylite hikers would make my days on the trail, in the city and at work so much liter like walking on clouds everywhere I go 🙂 one can only dream!

  354. Daylite hikers would make my days on the trail, in the city and at work much lighter just like walking on clouds all day. One can only dream!

  355. Coalton are more universal for me :-).I can using than every day,in every situation .

  356. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/730ab78c70c5d2c58ab638cc0335759f3afd5a82cbbb977e6f71988b95702914.jpg It still seems just a tad counter intuitive, that less is more. Yet, with my 5th pair of Xero’s on the way, experience tells me, it’s true. (never thought of giving shoes as a gift .. until discovering Xero sandals .. now I’ve done it a couple of times) Thinner, flexible and tough soles are more comfortable than all the absurd padding and ‘support’ we’ve been told we need. Now, with the announcement of hiking boots, my brain wanted to argue again. ‘wait, hiking is the one place you NEED all that padding, structure and support’. Then my feet yelled up to that brain, ‘no way!’ Fingers crossed maybe I’ll win a pair. They’d be very comfy with their sandal & shoe Xero family here.

  357. Any chance you can put a composite toe in the daylite hiker to make it safe for work in the fire department and others that require a safety shoe?

  358. Great looking shoes. The only downside to winning one of them is deciding which style to choose. Of course, the obvious solution is to select one and buy the other.

  359. Excited!

  360. Looking forward to a women’s version of the Coalton – I have a pair of Hana’s, and, while they are very comfortable, the hell is a scosh too wide for me…

  361. The heel, that is…

  362. Was counting down the days till this came out! So excited to hit the trails with these! And you can even rope in the business persons!

  363. The Daylite looks really comfy and soft where it wouldn’t rub your ankles raw when breaking them in, in fact they don’t look like they would need a lot of breaking in.

  364. Love the leather Colton. The perfect solution to when I need a closed toe shoe. Now I’m dreaming of a women’s version ❤️

  365. DayLite Hiker is perfect as I’m really enjoying strengthening my feet and the freedom of minimalist shoes, but I desire something that is more reminiscent (Style and Structure) of my hiking boots for motorcycle riding. I can’t wait!

  366. Love your shoes and your sandals! I would love to win a pair of these shoes! Just recently moved to where it snows.

  367. My trail shoes need replacing & I know with what now!

  368. I love barefoot shoes! If I get these I cant wait to show all my friends!!

  369. Love it! I already own 4 pairs of Xero Shoes/Sandals (I’ve been wearing only Xero Shoes, or going barefoot, since April this year) and have been looking forward to the hiker and casual leather shoe. My next big trail is the CT and I look forward to putting the Daylite Boot through the mill. 🙂
I’ve always loved my old brown Oxford shoes for school and teaching, but gave em up once I discovered Xero shoes.. I’m excited about the new release of the Coalton. Xero Shoes has successfully replaced my entire shoe rack for me to live as “barefoot” as possible.
    Thanks guys!
    🙂

  370. DayLite Hike-u (Haiku)

    Sunrise gently calls
    First rays caress forest floor
    Earth and feet unite

  371. I’d love to win these to try them out since I have diabetes and my feet hurt. I would hope they can help. <3 I would tell all my family and friends and get some as presents if they work.

  372. Fun reading the comments. And Haiku poetry too! Bravo! I appreciate the comment below. Don’t have diabetes, but, do have some peripheral neuropathy . Flip flops, never really a favorite anyway, became impossible when the numbness makes it difficult to be sure the shoe is on. And barefoot is no longer possible, because a tiny pebble feels like a sharp boulder. Not whining here. It’s just what it is. But those first Ventures were thrilling for me. I could walk ESSENTIALLY barefoot again. So here I am writing my testimonial. Let the XERO Revolution march on!! Cheers all.

  373. With my Z-Treks I always feel special at the office during the summer…
But… BRACE YOURSELVES! Winter is coming, and how am I supposed to feel special during the winter?
I think the answer is right on this page, XERO BOOTS!!!!

  374. Love how rugged both the DayLite Hiker and Coalton look!

  375. Hope to win

  376. I would sure like to wow my friends with those eye-catching DayLite Hikers!

  377. Good luck everyone!

  378. Those Daylite Hiker in black looks like myself 😉

  379. It’s gonna be fun!

  380. I only wear Xero shoes if I ‘m not barefoot.

  381. I just started a job where boots would be most beneficial. I am SO excited about this!! I love that they provide the coverage of a boot but still allow my foot to move!

  382. These will be my everywhere boot work shoes. GET IT

  383. I so want a pair of the burgundy Daylite Hikers!

  384. I love that the Daylight hiker has a wider toe boxthat is reinforced for extra protection.,

  385. I’m so happy to see Xero growing!

  386. Happy to see you guys made some boots! I live in Wisconsin.

  387. I like the laces, not really anything to do with the make of the Daylite but the laces look strong and durable, nothing worse than on a three day or longer hike and the laces break with no replacements.

  388. Ooh! I’m going to get the hiking ones!

  389. Can’t wait for the hikers

  390. The boots protect our
Feet, yet flex and move with them
    The best of both worlds.

  391. Would really love to try the hikers!

  392. I’m relearning how to walk. Turns out most of what the podiatrist taught me as a kid was wrong.

  393. I like the gray and yellow colors and the design of the hiker.

  394. Choices, choices…oh the choices! My feet are thrilled with the possibilities. But which to wear first?

  395. Bring on the Coltans!!!

  396. hope to try some out!

  397. I love the Daylite Hiker because they are perfect for all my hiking trips, riding my motorcycle & they have a reinforced toe box to protect my toes!

  398. Awesome new products again! I am slowly working on replacing all my footwear products to xero shoes and now boots!

  399. Can’t wait to get mine!

  400. I want them!!!

  401. I love Xero Shoes. I bought the Z-Trail, and liked it so much I got my dad a pair.

  402. Best shoes I’ve ever worn….now to get everyone I know in them!

  403. I love my diy sandals

  404. I have the diy kit,Hana, and prio I love them all! Good luck everyone especially if you don’t own any Xero’s they will change your life and how you look at shoes!

  405. Love the Daylite Hiker, looks perfect for trekking around Sydney, with supported feet I can enjoy the beautiful Harbour and get where I am going in comfort. Thanks 🙂

  406. Coalton, black!

  407. Finally some hiking shoes where you can feel the mountain
In my place we have a saying: “to really climb a mountain you gotta do it barefoot”, now finally with this shoes everyone can really climb a mountain.

  408. I love Daylite hiker’s design, I have hightops already, but i bet these will be a great replacement!

  409. Look at a fucking arch, the more weight you put on top, the stronger the fucker becomes. You put a “support” under an arch and it fucks it all up. Arches are strong motherfuckers, and most fucking shoes ruin goddamn arches, but not these fucking shoes. These sons-a-bitches are the best goddamn shoes I’ve ever ran in, I have the fucking diy sandals, good fucking choice there. First couple times I went and ran in them, motherfuckers we’re looking at me funny, that was until I fucking dusted their asses. I could only imagine how fucking comfortable the boots will be, if I win a pair, fuck yea, but if not that’s cool, I’ll buy a pair anyway

  410. I love that these shoes are stylish enough to wear to work!

  411. I love my Z trails so much, but they’re not so good for winter here (Ohio). Looking forward to wearing barefoot boots during the colder months!

  412. I love the Coalton and am looking forward to a Women’s version. The Daylight Hiker is stylish and I love the colors.

  413. These are great! I can’t wait to order the black boots.

  414. These look great! Thanks

  415. A pair of black Coaltons would be perfect for my everyday wear!

  416. These look great, can’t wait to win a pair.

  417. Yes the third from the right to left.

  418. The DayLite Hikers look awesome and I love that they are water resistant!

  419. A limerick:
I cannot go barefoot at work
And my dress shoes make my feet hurt
With a new pair of Coaltons
Work will be much more fun
As my feet feel the world in comfort

  420. That daylight hiker looks awesome!

  421. nice shoes

  422. Xero shoes = Pain free barefoot walking/running!!!!! Go Xero Shoes!

  423. Really pumped for the Daylite Hiker. Also hoping other shoes will be on sale. Interested in getting a Prio at the same time

  424. My husband and I have wildly different–but equally troublesome–feet and we’ve both found happiness at Xero!

  425. Awesome shoes.

  426. Lets keep it going to get more people! Getting closer to healthier feet!

  427. Very cool my lems are wearing out so new release is just in time.

  428. Excited!

  429. These shoes are made for walkin and that is just what I would do. Put on the blue sued lookin Xero’s and walk all over too. LOL

  430. Xero hiking boots yasss!

  431. I sure like the new boots from Xero
They won’t really make you a hero
    But in snow or rain
    All kinds of terrain
Your feet will have nothing to fear-o.

    1. Love it!

  432. They both look great. I have a leg injury and these look like they would be more comfortable than the average store brand shoes.

  433. I’d love a pair of Xeros that I could wear in rainy weather, and these look perfect!

  434. Love my Xero Shoes. My Hanas are still looking stylish, and my Huraches have been holding together for almost two years running (pun intended).

  435. Look great and meet all my requirements for a zero drop drop shoe. Thanks!

  436. These look great and meet all my requirements for a zero drop shoe. Thanks!

  437. I’m on the top of the world looking down on my xeros
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I’ve found ever since these shoes came around
Your brand’s put me at the top of the world

🙂 Only a classic song can speak so truly

  438. The guaranteed sole
    warranty brings confidence
    Worthwhile investment

  439. Nice to see the new Coalton has what appears to be a stitched sole. With soles that last 5,000 miles, the construction of the shoe should as well. Wish all your shoes had stitched construction.

  440. I have 2 pairs and 95% of time in this summer I used them and I like them a lot. You can feel connection with Mother Earth 🙂

  441. Day-O…Day-O…DayLite Hiker me want to win!

  442. But seriously, need the hiking boots for the rain!

  443. I have been waiting for Xero boots for years… finally they are here! 🙂

  444. The Daylight Hiker looks great. I wonder when you’re coming up with a casual boot for women…

  445. With the Coaltons, it’ll be like an inverted mullet for attire… business up top, party down at the bottom

  446. Awesome

  447. Bring on the Coltans

  448. So awesome! Been waiting for these since I saw your video a month back.

  449. There’s nothing better then feeling the ground on your feet, I’m so excited for this new line of Xero shoes, high quality of shoe for a high quality of life!

  450. YAYYYYYYYY

  451. The DayLite hikers seem like hugs for your feet! Super rad!

  452. Now we can feel great in any walk of life!

  453. Daylite Hiker looks nice!

  454. I love the Daylite Hiker because they are perfect for all my hiking trips, riding my motorcycle & they have a reinforced toe box to protect my toes!

  455. I have been a huge fan of Zero for the past 2 years. I am really looking forward to these boots. I just hope the ankle can still flex and move naturally.

  456. Two more days to go!

  457. I can’t wait to replace my Merrell boots with the Daylite.

  458. Love the different colors of the Daylite!

  459. Xero shoes are awesome!!!! If I win these I will show all my friends and they will want some too!!

  460. I am really looking forward to having some dressy-looking zero-drop shoes for work.

  461. I am wearing my Hannas to work, would be great to have a more dressy looking shoe for work.

  462. Would be great to win a pair but will get a pair of them either way! Thanks xero shoes

  463. Can’t wait

  464. Will any of the new boots models be water proof? That would be a deal-maker to me 🙂

  465. YAY for all black options!

  466. I just ordered both of them!

  467. Wait… so I can chase around my 2 year old in a boot now? And my feet and I can can still be just as happy and free as he is? YES please.

  468. Ándele, ándele! A ver si se apuran!

  469. Wow! Vegan friendly hiking boot that also looks like it could fit my feet! 😀 I’m stoked!

  470. Finally! A barefoot boot!

  471. My feet are bare! My boots are there! My toes are covered, with peculiar hair. Hair. There. In boots. Still bare!

  472. If you haven’t already gotten a pair you need to do your feet of favor and treat them to the world’s best shoe

  473. Can’t wait to try them! I hope they are good for climbing trees and scrambling off-trail.

  474. Love your shoes! Any chance your next model will be dressier women’s shoes?

  475. Can’t wait to try these. I haven’t been able to find a comfortable hiking shoe.

  476. I have never before had a pair of bare-foot inspired shoes, but I am super eager to try them out!

  477. Bring’em on!

  478. There’s always money in the banana stand.

  479. So exciting, love, love my xero sandals.

  480. What’s the biggest size these will come in?

    1. Men’s 14 (like our Prio, Hana, and sandals).

  481. Big fan of the ipari hanas, these new ones look great!

  482. Just bought my first pair of Xero shoes, now you come out with these 2 days later. Shut up and take all my money!

  483. Barefoot. Boots. Battlestar Galactica.

  484. Woot! Something for those Colorado winters!!!

  485. I love the look of the Coaltons. I’m excited for some new work shoes 🙂

  486. Like those hikers!

  487. What do the hikers do that the Prios or sandals don’t? Is Sunday’s live chat recorded and available somewhere on the website?

    1. Oops… you can find the video at https:/.facebook.com/xeroshoes/videos/2066290403397237/ (I’m going to post it here on this page as soon as I finish writing to you).

The difference: a more protective and slightly more cold-friendly upper.

Otherwise, like ALL our products, it’s built on a natural movement base with a foot-first design.

  488. After a year of walking with a limp and constantly rolling my ankles due to complications caused by my connective tissue disorder I finally found out about the benefits of bare feet and was able to rebuild strength in my feet and ankles by going barefoot and wearing leather soled moccasins as often as possible when shoes were required. I have been wanting to try xero shoes for a while now, and with the release of these new hiking boots this is a perfect excuse! Walking/hiking is one of the only safe forms of exercise for me and I have been searching for a “barefoot” hiking boot for a while now, and this would be perfect!

  489. I LOVE XERO SHOES I’M SO EXCITED YEOOWWWOWOWOWOW

  490. Love the Coalton. I’d take a pair in each color.

  491. I love the idea of lightweight shoes with ankle support!

  492. These look good!

  493. I would really prefer to win one of Xero’s prizes,
instead of just winning zero prizes.

  494. Xeroing in on this deal baby.
My feet will be in ecstasy matchin’ the rest of me.
Gonna be better than spam in a can, honey ham or the ol’ wham-bam thank you ma’m.

  495. Coalton looks like a sick casual boot, something still missing from barefoot market since merrell stopped making barefoot boots

  496. love these shoes!!
need the boots to go with my sandals! 😀

  497. I read about these shoes and from what I read I really need a pairs

  498. Fingers crossed!

  499. Barefoot! Barefoot! I don’t know if these shoes measure up, they look far to stylish. I’ve been barefoot for almost 3 years now, hiking, walking, even going into town barefoot. Total immersion, no rubber. Yes I get some strange looks, but hey, my feet are beautiful and I love the feel of the earth beneath me. Recently I got a pair of Xero’s sandals, and they have a wonderful barefoot feel, which I sometimes indulge in when with company or have to enter some conventional establishment. These Coaltons though, I think I’d have to try them to know if they can provide that earth to skin feeling I love without sacrificing for that sleek back-country rugged style that comes with them. Send me a pair and I’ll let you know.

  500. Eager to see if these bad boys can handle the Swedish winter!

  501. I have been seeing these show up on my facebook and I am beyond intrigued. I am going to be walking across the United States in the spring and I really like the idea of a 5000 mile sole on a pair of shoes since that is roughly what I will be walking!

  502. The black color option of the DayLite Hiker is definitely appreciated, as it will allow me to use the shoe in a variety of different settings. The more ostentatious color schemes of many other minimalist shoes make it very difficult to use them as often as I would like. Thanks for giving us a more conservative option 🙂

  503. LOVE LOVE LOVE Xero Shoes — I bought my first pair in August 2010, and they are the ONLY shoes I’ve worn since ( I have bought an alternate pair to lace differently — not because the first wore out ! Still wearing the first pair, too ! )

  504. Waiting for my first pair of Prio to arrive.

  505. Just think of the trail shredding I can do in the Daylite Hikers.

  506. I have several pair of your sandals. Looking forward to trying the boots.

  507. Aloha!!! I live in the jungle here in Hawaii, and basically everyone tells me I’m nutzz because I only wanna wear my Xero sandals even when venturing through the crazy lush brush- “brah where your boots at” I hear probably at least once a week! “I own no boots” I reply, just these xero sandals! To win a pair of these boots would really be a huge game changer to me!!! It would not only mean the world to me, but would mean sooooo much to my scratched up bug bitten feet!! I would absolutely love to show off my xero boots to everyone! I promise I would wear them so proudly, that everyone who comes into contact with me will want a pair!!! <3 much love and blessings to you guys!! Keep doing what you do!! Mahalo <3

  508. Z trail he save my feet.
Daylight he keep me going through the cold.

  509. Little confused. If I order a pair of Daylites now, how will I receive a discount based on the sweepstakes discount? (Unless of course I win a pair. :-))

  510. Still can’t wait!!

  511. These look amazing. Look the idea of a comfortable, foot-friendly shoe I can wear at work.

  512. I want to lite up the night with a pair of daylite hikers!

  513. Love the hikers!

  514. I’d grab me some water and throw on my pack, if only I had me some hikers-in black. 😀

  515. I love the Daylite Hiker because they are perfect for all my hiking trips, riding my motorcycle & they have a reinforced toe box to protect my toes!

  516. Xero shoes rock!!!!!!

  517. I hike in my Xero sandals everywhere in South Africa but we are not allowed to hike without boots in the Kruger Park. Not sure why but the guide keeps on mumbling about snake bites. A pair of boots would be awesome so that I too can hike in the Kruger Park.

  518. I love your shoes because they don’t hurt my feet,
If I win a pair of boots that’ll be really neat,
Winter is coming soon and I’d like to warm,
Your shoes make me feel like I’ve been reborn!

I hope you guys enjoyed my poem! I really love Xero Shoes, they are the only brand of shoes I wear. Xero shoes make me feel like I can finally move my feet. My toes are open and my arch is fixed. As a college student I’ll take any Xero Shoes products I can get! I truly believe in this product and believe it is more than a shoe but a lifestyle. Thank you for doing what you guys do!
    Sincerely,
    Pete Duarte
    Merced, Ca

  519. First time today, washed my Z Trek sandals. Ever so slight odor from all the hard work they put in. Scrub brush and drop of soap/vinegar. Dried outside and good to go. Prios arriving tomorrow . Woohoo! Now, about a pair of those black boots … Daylights . Though the Coalton’s look great, the vegan viewpoint will have me passing on those. Wishing you continued success .

  520. This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time! Literally was looking for barefoot boots just earlier, and then a link to this popped up on my facebook. I love my Xero Z-Trails and I’m stoked to try out a pair of boots!

  521. Love all my xero products

  522. There was a young sprinter from Boulder
Who found he ached as he got older
Tying thin rubber to his feet
Caused him to exclaim “This is neat!”
Even though his tootsies were colder!

  523. Xero must be consulting with potato chip manufacturers because they’ve got us salivating for more!

  524. Oct. 7th is my birthday……. I want Xero presents though, cause I’m trying live a minimalist lifestyle.

  525. Those boots will be great for our WI winters!

  526. These boots can’t wait to get on my feet. They’re in your warehouse right now. Begging, pleading, crying to me. I hear them. Even when I’m awake. “Run with meeeee Patrick, ruuuuuun”. Very creepy, but I’m going to get them anyway.

  527. Love the laces on the Daylight Hiker.

  528. The Coalton looks so stylish and modern.

  529. Currently, I only have two pairs of shoes. Looking to finish my total amount by 3! MAKE EM BOOTS

  530. I’m so excited about the boots! Really hope to get some all-blacks to eliminate the amount of shoes I need 🙂 <3

  531. As a barefoot runner and archaeologist, I have been on the search for the perfect boot for both hiking and fieldwork. I’m continually impressed with the quality of products I’ve gotten from Xero over the years, and I can’t wait to get a pair of each of these boots! Thank you for bringing this to the market. I’ll gladly do a durability review once I get a pair in the real world!

  532. This is perfect

  533. So excited about these!

  534. I’m stoked about the Coalton! I’m looking forward to placing my order.

  535. I’m currently studying to be a Roman Catholic priest. As a priest the Church asks that, among other things, I live a simple life. One of my friends also preparing for priesthood introduced me to Xero shoes. I bought a pair of the diy huaraches, and I love them. I was stoked to see the Coaltons in black. Light-weight, modestly designed, high quality. These will be able to replace several of the shoes I currently own. That’s what I want as I seek to live a simple life as a parish priest. Thanks for making barefoot living so cool!

  536. ahhhhhhh when can we buy? it’s now the 20th……

  537. All the comments! All the winning! All the putting the barest foot forward in England!

  538. I keep changing my mind but, I think I’ve finally decided I’ll get more use out of a pair of black Coalton’s for my everyday casual wear. Yep, that’s what I need!

  539. Can’t wait to buy the Daylite!!!

  540. Thanks for the oportunity.

  541. I am hoping to get the boots!

  542. It’s the 20th. Can we buy today? I measured my feet with various socks for winter…just waiting to see about sizing and how to buy!

  543. I live in my huaraches! I just moved to Colorado from southern AZ and will now be in need of boots!

  544. Really excited for these shoes!

  545. I think these will be great for cold weather hiking!

  546. I’d totally buy a pair of these if I didn’t just buy a pair of Prios and huaraches.

RIP, aquasocks. You served me well :,)

  547. Love them both!

  548. I own at least 1 of each kind of Xero shoes since the DIY versions were all that was available. I LOVE my Prios and my Hanas, and most recently have been enjoying the Trek sandals offroad. I’m most interested in the hikers…

  549. Ok, but seriously, I want a pair of these hiking boots!

  550. Love my Xero shoes!

  551. Wish I knew about this before this summers hiking trips!

  552. I’m a chemist.. these would be great for the lab!

  553. So excited for these!! #xeroshoesrock

  554. Back to the basics, but better. Go Xero boots!

  555. Best boots, less boots.

  556. The Coalton look great! I’ve just sent you an email with an offer to partner up! Thanks for making great products.

  557. I love that Xero Shoes is expanding its product line to allow us to use their products in a variety of different settings. While sandals are amazing, it’s nice that there are shoe offerings that allow us to apply Xero Shoes’s solutions to all our daily activities.

  558. I’m definitely taking these boots on my trip to Israel!

  559. Would love some Coaltons!

  560. Stoked about these!

  561. These would be great

  562. Buy a pair for work and win a pair for play?!?!

  563. I’m the one.

  564. Hiking boots that aren’t coffin-boxes! I want a pair.

  565. I give a hoot that’s why I want these boots!!!!

  566. No more feet binding for me! These are the shoes that I need!

  567. I won’t get in trouble for wearing “the wrong” shoes for office attire after I get a pair of the coaltons!

  568. Are either of these waterproof?

  569. Ordered Daylights today. Excited ! and …. then Prios arrived today. And they’re too short. Same size as Hana. Yikes! Hope the boats fit. Maybe it will be a life of sandal wearing. ; )

  570. Those black Daylite Hikers. Gotta have em.

  571. I love the Daylite Hiker because they are perfect for all my hiking trips, riding my motorcycle & they have a reinforced toe box to protect my toes!

  572. Nothin’ left but the waitin’…

  573. My chiropractor recommended Xeros to me. I’m so excited there are hiking boots now! They came out just in time so I can wear them on a volcanology a field trip (can’t wear sandals there!)!

  574. If Georgie had these boots, he wouldn’t have floated too.

  575. I’m really looking forward to these. Just ordered both the Coaltons and the Daylite Hikers today.

    One, Two, Buckle My Shoe

  576. Would love to put a XeroShoes Meetup in Belgium.
    Any interested?
    Vincent

  577. Can’t wait!

  578. Love the colors of the Daylite Hiker

  579. “I should be strolling down the sky way (in a pair of daylite Hikers) instead of stumbling down the high way in my boots of steel” – Donovan must have had xero shoes in mind when he wrote this song.

  580. 11 more days! The suspense is killing me!

  581. Day Lite hikers on the way! My fourth pair of xeros can’t wait!

  582. Can’t wait to try the boots.

  583. Love the daylite hiker in burgundy!

  584. Also can’t wait for the Prios to come out in all black!

  585. Woot! Today is the day! So excite!

  586. Probably could use something a little less casual than my z-treks for my swing and bachata classes

  587. I love the z-trek but it it also nice to have a pair of tennis shoes.

  588. I like the direction you’re heading 🙂

  589. Can’t wait to see how these hold up in a Wisconsin winter!

  590. Now when I walk in a room people notice me.
What they notice first is my mesquite size 11 daylight hikers.
Now when I walk in a room I command attention because I got Xero problems.
Daylight hiker – a sign of excellence.

    1. This is my favorite comment so far

  591. Winter is coming… Utah’s Wasatch front is already frosted.

  592. I’d love to try these – I wish I could find shoes that feel as good as barefootin’.

  593. I need a Xero!
I’m holding out for a new boot called the DayLite
    I know it is strong
    And I’ll walk really fast
And I’ll look really fresh when I hike!

  594. Just ordered a pair of Coaltons! Excited to have a pair of dress shoes that won’t make my feet sore

  595. I could use some new minimalist shoes that I can wear at work.

  596. The Prias are my most comfortable shoes, however yesterday on a hike the soles started coming off and on close examination I noticed stitching also starting to rip out. They aren’t that old either. For the sake of my feet, I’m still sure I’ll buy more Xeros. In the past, I have already bought 2 pair of sandals and 2 pair of Prias. Bought my first sandals when all they sold was a kit and they really served me well for a long time. I hope this latest pair of shoes is a fluke and not an indication that quality has gone way down hill. I still plan on trying out the new Daylite Hikers as soon as I can afford it on my fixed income.

  597. Would love a new pair

  598. My Z-trek sandals have been my go to shoes for more than a year! Weened myself off of extra-cushion, stability runners and I never felt better:) I also froze my toes off wearing my zTreks with cute socks last winter…but not anymore. These daylite hikers are my early Christmas gift to myself. Can’t wait to get some. In purple. Anna

  599. I have been so discouraged and frustrated with shoes for the last several years! About the only shoes I’ve ever worn which don’t actively hurt my feet are my xero huaraches. I really need an option for when the weather is wet and rainy or cold and snowy since I live in Salt Lake. I have spent $100s of dollars on specialty snow boots and casual work shoes that are supposed to work in all weather but slip on the ice and hurt my feet. I even broke my wrist slipping on the ice in snow boots that cost $250 and were STILL uncomfortable.
I am on a quest to find some decent shoes/boots that get good traction, allow for foot movement, breathe, are warm and don’t actively injure my feet. If they can manage to look decent for working in my office, that would be awesome as well.

My current plan is to move somewhere warm so I never have to wear shoes again, but until I can make that happen I need something to wear in the cold months. I would love to try these, but I am reluctant to pay again. I hope I can win some xero shoes or boots and give you a review! Have a great day!

  600. Holy crow these look amazing! I am gonna to try a pair…. looks like I needed 2 pair… now if only I win and get a 3rd pair for free? I hope these help me perform my job as a corrections Officer. Another pair for free would be fantastic!

  601. Thanks for carrying a line and using it as a prize a shoe that goes up to 14. I have to skip so many shoe contests due to my big feet.

  602. The black color scheme for both styles is my favorite thing about this launch. The low-key color will allow me to use these shoes in far more settings than more colorful minimalist shoes would allow.

  603. Ordered the Coalton’s in black I did. I currently own a pair of Z-Trails, Z-Treks, Hanas, and Prios. Win a pair of Daylite Hiker’s and the circle will be complete. Xero Shoes I will have for every occasion!

  604. Xero shoes = Xero foot problems!

  605. I ordered a pair of Daylite hikers today. The Burgundy color looks great.

  606. So, I can manage with Z-trails for the most of the year, but during the snow season it gets little bit weird for me (and for everyone near me). I’m wondering how well do they perform in colder climate and especially with snow and ice.

  607. Holding out for a Xero (shoe)

    I need a Xero!
I’m holding out for a Xero ’til the end of September
    It’s gotta be light
    And it’s gotta be fast
And it’s gotta be super comfortable

    (with apologies to Bonnie Tyler)

  608. Exciteeeed!!

  609. I want it now! I don’t care how! Who is to blame if your customers are spoiled?

  610. On a list of favourite footwear, these’ll be a shoe-in.

  611. Feet, meet shoes. Shoes, meet feet. *waves magic wand* Xero shoes! Confused, feet?

  612. Coaltons are awesome!! And eye catching! If I walked into a room with those on, everyone would be asking about them!

  613. Got my DLH on the way!

  614. Awesome Shoes!

  615. Woho win win

  616. The Carlton is a smart looker but I am sold on the Daylite Hiker!

  617. these look so comfortable! I’d love a pair or 3! 😉

  618. Xero Shoes Poem

    Xero Shoes are amazing,
I like the way they fit.
They get through the blazing weather,
    And of course the cold.

  619. I could be your Xero baby.
You could call me your DayLite.
You can keep me on forever.
    You… can feel the world!

  620. Loving these poems! Haha

  621. With Xero shoes,
    You can never lose!

Fastest shoes, best quality! Xero shoes!!!!!!!!!!

  622. Something came up, can’t afford to buy before the contest ends. Here’s hoping!

  623. Love that instead of customer service you have a customer happiness team

  624. I love my DIY huaraches. I’ve only had them three weeks, but can feel my posture changing and my feet waking up!

I ordered the Daylite but I really wish I could have purchased the Coalton but it is not available for women! Please consider a Coalton for us – women with narrow and/or small feet who can’t wear a mens style or size.

    Keep up the great work!

  625. I have long and wide feet so I bet I could wear the Coalton but I like the Daylite Hiker better.

  626. XeroShoes…..the only Xero that has not a Zero. The only Xero that you can measure. the only Xero that is wearable.

  627. So excited that these are coming in bigger men’s sizes!

  628. Love the outdoors and love going barefoot to near BF.

  629. Let’s go hiking!

  630. Minimalist hiking boots sound lovely! My feet don’t appreciate being stuffed into shoes and then working hard.

  631. So I’m out digging up fossil invertebrates in a big crack in Arizona. I needed something for scale in my picture, so why not my Z-treks!

Hoping they can be Daylites soon though. Temps are dropping and my toes could use some of that prime insulation.

**Picture is a trace fossil (animal’s activity) moving along the ‘then’ sea floor 500 million years ago.

    Happy trails!

  632. Thanks for offering them in a larger size.

  633. Supporting my feet,
    and supporting small business,
    Eager to purchase

  634. The Day Lite hiker by Xerox shoes.
It’s not just a shoe; it is a sophisticated piece of technology.
This shoe will elevate your bi-pedal experience and transform your life.

My wife showed me the divorce papers,
so I showed her my mesquite Day Lite hikers – now we have 3 kids.

I use to have big problems now I have Xerox problems.
    Thanks Xero shoes!

    1. quit while you’re ahead

      1. Gata keep casting the net.

  635. comment

  636. With Xero shoes you have Xero doubts about winning!!

    Go Xero!!

  637. as they have sizes for all ages

  638. My Mesquite Day Lite hikers are so light I day-hiked Mt. Everest – without snacks.

    #XeroProblems

  639. Well.ordered a pair…….you tricked me once again 😉

Now stop making shoes I have to buy! 😀

    P.S.

    Pick me,pick me!!1!! o.O

  640. Would love to win 😉

  641. From Zero to Hero in Xero!

  642. I won’t be looking at the Coaltons from afar anymore before too long!

  643. Got some on order..hope I win another pair!

  644. Commenting for extra entrues

  645. Gotta start saving up for these boots… I guess it’s DayLite savings time 😀

  646. Ha ha ha! Nice one!

  647. I ordered on the VIP day. I need to win to get the refund so I can get the money back before the missus realises I spent the rent!

  648. Leather dress-casuals and hiking boots? Sign me up. Hope that I can slot in budget for at least the Coaltons- my Hanas are without a doubt epic and I expect as much out of Xero going forward.

  649. I said I wasn’t going to spend anymore money that was absolutely necessary…and then these boots came along…

  650. I’ve been looking for a pair of nice dress shoes or dress boots with zero drop. I was excited to see your pair of Coalton boots. The price seems very good also.

  651. Looks like it will fit and feel nice 😉

  652. I hate shoes! But my friend assures me these will not feel like any shoe I’ve worn before. I’m a flip-flop girl and my feet scream for help when shoes ensnare them. If I win a pair of your shoes/boots, you’ll have me shouting from every social media outlet, my undying love for shoes. Nay, not just any shoes but Xero shoes.

  653. Is there anyone else wondering how grippy the sole is on the Daylite Hike is? I don’t see any ‘deep lugs’ typically found on hiking boots/shoes

    1. Hi Yoa78, he talks about that in the facebook live video on this page. The video is 33 min long, and he talks about grippiness at about 30 min and 30 sec.

      1. thanks for the information 😀

  654. All up in the house, commenting for the daily increase for winning. COOL!

  655. A shoe…box…Xero (some awesome DayLites)
    It’s my shoe…box…Xero
Hope I’ll win a pair! (shoe…box…Xero, some awesome DayLites)
Shoe box Xero… will be my DayLites

  656. Night time is the best time for Daylite Hikers!!!

      1. the daylite hiker

        1. My friend and I both bought these and are going hiking when they arrive, I’ve already got her running in the prios. And I sent my dad a pair since the z-trails went over so well with him. I’m tricking everybody into wearing Xero Shoes !!!

  658. I really want to win these boots!! I’ll never have the money to buy them!

  659. My favorite part about buying the Coalton or DayLite Hiker is that I will be supporting a small business that is an integral part of the minimalist footwear community, not a giant shoe company hoping to profit off of this niche market and put the little guys out of business.

  660. I like the color combination of the DayLite Hiker.

  661. Those hikers look so comfortable!

  662. The Coalton is so stylish!!

  663. My Daylite hikers just came in can’t wait to try them out! Xeros add up!

  664. I went in for an interview today.
When the boss saw my size 11 mesquite Day Lite hikers he knew I meant business.
So he handed me the business.

    Now I’m a CEO.
    Thanks Xero shoes!

  665. Can’t wait to hike in the DLH’s!

  666. Take over the world with barefoot shoes! <3

  667. Here again because I really want it.

    1. I hope that they will be available in the larger sizes. I wear U.S. size 15 or 16 depending on the brand.

  668. There are those who say one should never stare directly into the Daylite (hiker). Perhaps, or perhaps it is they who will never FeelTrue©ly whole. Thus I Venture-d forth 5,000 miles along Z-Trail of redemption, jumping in Feet First, and I Did look at them. And my soul lain Bare(foam), and the Daylite became so intense my emotions runneth amok, my eyes did beholdeth, and as the elders had forewarned I was rendered totally ex-sighted. Do I regret to pay such a price? For though the Daylite (hiker) hath ex-sighted me to my core, verily I Stand before you now with Xero Vision ! Baptized anew in the majesty of the Daylite (hiker), fly did I to my people in the sky, proclaiming across the lands, shouting from the hilltops to the Cloud-s themselves, “Feel the Freedom, Feel the Fun, Feel the World ! “

  669. Can’t wait to get (win?!) a pair!

  670. I’m getting my boots tomorrow! Excited!

  671. Anxiously awaiting my boots!!

  672. Only 8 more days left!!!!

  673. Gotta good reason
For taking my Xero Shoes out
    Gotta good reason
For taking my Xero Shoes out
    I want a Day-Lite Hiker
To get me through the trail
They take soooo long… to wear out
    They won’t wear out!

  674. I love the look, styling, and color combos of the Dayllight hiker. Can’t wait to try them!

  675. 8 days to go?! 8 days until a winner?! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME.

  676. hearing someone try to pronounce huarache has become a favorite form of entertainment.

  677. They say to never say anything about a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes – because then you are a mile away and you’ve got his shoes and you can say whatever the hell you want about him… So I’ll probably need those daylight hikers… And then I’ll give a review after a mile hike… Seems safest that way.

  678. Comment everyday! Never give up! Never surrender!

  679. Daily enter, daily comment, hopefully a win

  680. I appreciate the dedication of Xero Shoes’ founder to provide us with an excellent product and customer service experience. His efforts go a long way to instill confidence in those of us who choose to support his company, and it also makes the experience of supporting him very worthwhile 🙂

  681. I can’t wait mine to come in the mail!

  682. I love the Daylite Hiker’s color combination!

  683. Woobuley boobuhley, give me the shoebilee!

  684. I was supposed have a fourth roommate in college named Colin, but he never showed up. As time went by, me and my other two roommates, started to accidentally refer to Colin as Coalton as a result of combining his name with one of ours. I never got to meet Coalton sadly and I miss him to this very day. Please give me the chance to have experience a Coalton in my life.

  685. Xero, simply the best

  686. Like wearing a better feet 😉

  687. Love my Hanas – cant wait to try the DayLite Hikers

  688. Call it serendipity! I have just recieved delivery of a pair of your sandals… I bought them second hand while looking fro some barefoot shoes for my son. Saw them, loved them. Have been wearing them all day. I’ve not been this excited about a pair of shoes for years. Dancing around the kitchen and everything! I thought i’d check your website in case you sold barefoot boots too. Lo and behold, a competition to win some! Could this get any better?? yes, actually, if i were one of your lucky winners. I’d wear them into the ground.

  689. Today’s the day!

  690. Both these boots are epic.

  691. Only one week left!!!!!!!

  692. Anxiously awaiting my boots!!

  693. Take…your awesome feet
And learn to walk again, learn to live so free
When you lose, your crappy shoes
These Xero boots will let you run…and feel the world!

  694. OMG YASSSS JUST GOT MINE !!! NEW SHOE SMELL !!! VERY HIGH QUALITY FEEL ! SUPER COMFY !! USED THE SIZE CHART, PERFECT FIT !!! YYYAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!

    1. Now sadly I must take them off, because it’s a million degrees out and I have no AC. But yaaaasssssssszssss.

      1. The Daylite Hiker from Xero Shoes

        1. And yes, I went up a half-size from the Prio, but the size chart said so and as sayeth the size chart so do-eth I.

        2. The Midnite Hiker from Xero Shoes

  695. Soooo exciteeed!

  696. Can’t wait to win!!

  697. Expecting my Coalton’s in any minute now. If I could just win a pair of Daylite Hikers, then I would have a Xero shoe for every occasion!

  698. I truly appreciate that the DayLite Hiker was made with vegan-friendly materials. For those of us looking for ethical and environmentally-friendly products, this certainly helps a great deal. Thank you for your compassion.

  699. I own a pair of z trails and use them around town, in the house, and as camp shoes. I love them and I promote xero shoes every chance I get. I just ordered a pair of the new boots. Looking forward to doing a hike in them and put those through the paces. The wide toe box shoe will take over the shoe industry. Thanks for thinking outside the box Xero Shoes, Feel The World, Inc. I appreciate what you do!

  700. These shoes look awesome! I really want to order some so that my husband won’t have issues with me not wearing “hiking boots” when we go on hikes, and my feet don’t have to deal with those stiff shoes he likes… 🙂
I have several pairs of minimalist shoes, but these would be my first Xeroshoes…looking forward to them. 🙂

  701. I’d love to finally have a pair of hiking shoes to wear!

  702. I’d love to try these hiking shoes! They look comfortable but seem to still be a quality boot!

  703. So excited to try my new boots! My knees feel great hiking in Xero sandals. I hiked 18 miles yesterday in clunky hiking boots because I didn’t want to get my feet wet in cold Alaska streams, and my knees and hips are so sore from my altered gait pattern. I’m eager to experience the difference in my joints when I go backpacking next weekend!

  704. I want to win these sooooooo bad!! I LOVE going barefoot!!!!!! But sadly in today’s culture, people outlaw going barefoot in businesses and now some parks! Xero shoes are definetly the next best thing!!! I want Xero shoes!!!!!!!!

  705. DayLite Sonnet

First light so softly calls to rise anew
The scent of gum trees wafts through forest air
The ground welcomes, the fields alive with dew
The trail ahead with feet so close to bare.
For years the soles were stiff and way too thick
The feet without the feel of earth below
No sense of sand or rock or leaf or stick
Entrapped and bound were ankle, arch and toe.
But now the earth and feet can feel as one
The healing touch of nature every stride
Unite with tree and stone and creek and sun
Xeros on feet and daylight by my side:
With gratitude I thank the Xero team
Each time I hike a track or cross a stream.

  706. I’m looking forward to owning a pair of these (probably more the Coalton than the Daylite Hiker since I don’t do much ‘hiking’ or am not off terrain that much. But the Daylite hikers do look nice just as a fashion statement 😀

  707. I love that the Coalton can be an every day shoe!!

  708. Love this idea, so excited about hiking shoes! I hate my stuffy boots that I have now.

  709. When I win I will say thanks to all of you

  710. The Coaltons are beauts–nicer than I imagined. A new standard for everyday shoes!

  711. I wake up in the morning with that daylite hi, ker-tains drawn… and there will be xero% chance I will be coalton side today with these new shoes 🙂

  712. Got my Coaltons and DayLite Hikers today. Love em

  713. Love the Daylite hikers. Need to get them on my feet.

  714. Coming to bookshelves soon:

Jamie is a housekeeper from London who goes on a quest to find a fresh pair of DLH’s, but first must overcome an undead version of Will Smith. Jamie teams up with a superhero called Yogurt-Man, whose special power is extreme pouting.

    Critics rave!

“The dullest novel ever written. I’m so bored of stories set in London that feature a housekeeper named Jamie.”
    – Enid Kibbler

“I’m going to rush out and buy this book! I can totally see an undead version of Will Smith.”
    – Hit the Spoof

“I once knew somebody named Jamie…Sigh.”
    – Zob Gloop

    1. Oooohh Enid, you’re a caution 😉

  715. As someone with lower back problems, i have found the flat shoes help relieve much of my pain. I could really use a nice dress shoe/boot that offers no heel. I have not been ablr to find any intil i came across your shoe.

  716. I got some sandals this summer. They are amazing!!! I can’t wait to get something for the colder weather. 🙂

  717. I love my xero sandals. Can’t wait to get something for the cooler weather!!

  718. Oh When will my boots arrive?? I can’t stand the waiting…

  719. ONLY 6 MORE DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  720. Here has to be like 1000 individuals want it, great, with that amount of entries maybe even more.

  721. Did you ever try these boots from Xero?
They’re everything that good boots should be
They’ll make your feet stronger than an eagle’s
The DayLites will surely free your feet!

  722. Who’s buying me a pair? 🙂

  723. All I have to say is that I’m really looking forward to wearing a minimalist hiking boot. A prickly pear spine in the ankle quickly got me looking for an alternative to my trail runners.

  724. I got the Prio at PaleoFX and met Steve. I’ve been loving them, especially wearing them at the hospital (I’m a nurse). I’m excited to try the new shoes! I wonder how they’ll hold up up here in Alaska.

  725. I am barefoot nearly always. When I must don footwear (usually “rules” of a business more than my actual need), I wear my Xero Shoes huaraches (because they are about as close as one can get to barefoot, barring bare feet). I just can’t wear anything more, my body rejects it. Seriously. One situation I wear shoes by choice is riding motorcycle; I want the protection in the event the bike goes down. Obviously huaraches don’t fulfill this requirement, so I wear combat boots from my military days. After my latest motorcycle outing, which included walking at an event, I immediately experienced so many issues I haven’t suffered since my shod days. My kneecaps slip, my back aches, I have pain in one of my legs, I feel pain in my heel/instep area (plantar fasciitis threatening). It’s been slowly improving the last few days as I’ve been 100% barefoot. I don’t want to deal with these issues after every otherwise fun motorcycle adventure. I wonder if the DayLite Hikers would be an adequate motorcycle boot for me. I hope I win a pair so I can find out!

  726. It’s getting close the suspense is killing me!

  727. My boots have arrived…still at work (shhh may leave early)…waiting to get home to see how they fit

  728. My favorite thing about the Coalton and DayLite Hiker is how generous Xero Shoes is to give away pairs for free. Thank you for your generosity.

  729. Just received my Coalton’s yesterday. So far so good! A little stiff around the ankles at first but, after wearing just a few hours this was no longer a problem. I purchased the same size (9.5) as my Hana’s and the length is the same, but the Coaltons seem a tad bit wider. fyi.

  730. “It’s me or the shoes.” she said
    It wasn’t a hard decision
“These have a 5,000 mile warranty baby.”

    ~Xero problems

  731. I think I’m enjoying the comments a little too much here 😀 I have to admit that it takes some creativity to come up with something unique to say every day..

  732. I think I need to get a Xero Shoes tattoo. Like the logo on the lower part of my calf down to my ankle. It’s got to be done in an organic way so it looks like a natural part of my foot.

    1. Get it on the bottom of your foot so the toes line up and when you run past people they will know why.

      1. I wonder if that would tickle or be insanely painful.

        1. Prolly both. I really should have thought it through a little more before making such a cruel suggestion.

  733. I’ve gotta score a pair of these new hiking boots!!! They’e the next best thing to my bare feet, and almost as cute. 🙂

  734. How many entries do you have? Only 5 days left!!!!!

  735. 5 days until I win. Sorry people.

  736. I don’t have man entries but I’m working on my karma instead. 😀

  737. Just a few more days!

  738. Love to hike
    +
    Cramped toes
    =
    Want xero boots

  739. Only 5 more days for this one 😉 good luck everybody!

  740. Wear ’em again
These boots you’re sure to notice
Who could believe they’d look so good

    Hike in the Spring
    Feet hugging terra firma
Feel the world in Xero boots

Feeeeet wear DayLites (bum, bum, bum)
Boots have never felt this good
I’ve been inclined (bum, bum, bum)
    To believe in Xero boots!

  741. Just go my coaltons yesterday and the fit like a glove!

  742. time for my daily comment…. and here it is…. good day all!

  743. Hubby and I got our Daylight hikers two days ago. Hubby is Army (Special Forces) and a big proponent of proper footwear. I’ve had a pair of Prio’s for several months but this is his first foray into bare feet shoes. Wasn’t sure how he’d react. He hasn’t taken them off since he put them on. He loves them. Says that except for packing heavy rucks over the roughest terrain, they’re awesome. And when packing a heavy ruck on rough terrain he’d add an insole to protect bottom of feet from bruising. We’ve just won a very challenging convert folks!

  744. Only 5 more days left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  745. This never works but I’ll try anyway, these would make a great b’day present to myself and you pick the winners a day before my b’day 😉

  746. I sure would like to win this 🙂

  747. I need the win! It’s under my skin now! Argh!

  748. Aaauuugghh ! I’m so hungry right now, but I’m too lazy to get up. The only thing I can reach are my Midnite Hikers from Xero Shoes. They look so good and smell so good they’ve got that new shoe smell mmm. But I need them for hiking.

  749. The implementation of the black color schemes for the Coalton and DayLite Hiker is truly genius. I sincerely appreciate Xero Shoes’ decision to design two styles of shoes that can now be used in a variety of settings. Thank you for your consideration.

  750. 4 days left!

  751. For some reason, my poem below was deleted as ‘spam’. Sorry if you’ve read it before, but I’m re-writing it here in case it’s been permanently deleted.

    DayLite Sonnet

First light so softly calls to rise anew
The scent of eucalyptus fills the air
The ground welcomes, the fields ablaze with dew
The trail ahead with feet so close to bare.
For years the soles were thick and far too stiff
The feet without the feel of earth below
No sense of sand or rock or branch or cliff
Entrapped and bound were ankle, arch and toe.
But now the earth and feet can be as one
The healing touch of nature every stride
Unite with tree and stone and creek and sun
Xeros on feet and daylight by my side:

With gratitude I thank the Xero team
Each time I hike a track or cross a stream.

    1. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing and re-posting. This is definitely not spam!

      1. Thanks Wally!

  752. Eeeexcited!! <3

  753. As a police officer, I feared I woud retire without the opportunity of wearing a pair of minimalistic boots. With the black DayLite Hiker you have fullfilled my dreams and I already ordered them. So please chose this answer so what I can win the Coalton to use the when I work as concealed officer 😀

  754. I am 99.9 percent sure I won’t win. PLEASE!!!!! I can’t buy any if I don’t win this!!

  755. I saw her hiking in the rain
    Raindrops falling on her
    She didn’t seem to care
She sat there and smiled at me

    Then I knew (I knew I knew I knew I knew)
That her feet were happy (happy, happy)
    Xeros on her toes
    Everywhere she goes

    I love these Xero boots
They’ll surely catch your eye, I love these new DayLites
    I love these Xero boots
Hiking with my girl, we will feel the world

    Feel the world!

  756. Let’s take a walk with this.

  757. 4 days left to write a post for the bonus entries LOL!

  758. What a great way to get loyal customers.

  759. If you got some DayLite Hikers already, what SIZE did you get vs your regular size? How do they fit, and how thick are the socks you are wearing with them? I want to wear these when it gets cold out with thick socks, and I am trying to figure out what size to get. Thanks!

    1. USE THE SIZE CHART. Measure your foot with a ruler. I went up 1/2 from the Prio.

      1. Thanks Rakiyoshi 😉 I used the size chart already, but what I am wondering is if I should go a 1/2 size bigger than the size chart says to accomodate thick socks for winter.

        1. They seem to fit perfectly for me with middle thickness socks like regular tube sock. So for extra thick going up is probably a good idea.

          1. Great, that helps! Thank you! 🙂

      2. When I got my Prios I used the size chart and got what it indicated I should get. Well, they were way too small. I kept returning and getting larger ones in half size increments until I got the ones that fit……a size and a half larger than what the chart told me! It was worth it all because the Prios have been the most comfortable shoes ever. Also, I have to mention that I have very wide feet and usually order a couple of sizes larger than length size. I had assumed that since Xero shoes are made wider in toe area that I could order according to length, but that wasn’t the case. Hope this helps.

  760. 4 more days left!!! I can’t handle the suspense!!!!

  761. I still need to get the Coaltons.

  762. Wow cool styles of boots. They look comfortable to walk with.

  763. My favorite thing today about the Coalton and DayLite Hiker is the 5,000 mile sole warranty provided by Xero Shoes. Knowing that my investment in a Xero Shoes product is a little more protected certainly helps me justify the purchase price. Thanks for the compassion 🙂

  764. I’m gonna win. I can feel it all the way down to my feet!

  765. I’m just glad they go up to my size.

  766. I love hiking! I really want some coaltons!!!!

    1. And DayLite Hikers!!!! Great for going barefoot, with shoes on!!

  767. I’m glad to see this company expanding there products but also sticking with there moral’s. There’s not many places you can buy shoes and feel good about your purchase. But Steve and Lena have done just that in my opinion. Vegan, 5,000 mile warranty, and amazing customer service to boot! Got my DIY feel true and couldn’t figure out why I ever wore shoes in the first place!

    Thanks for your awesome products!
    Casey Greene

  768. Cant wait!!!

  769. I am still thinking with that Daylite in black I can go to even a wedding or something 🙂

  770. Here’s hoping

  771. Getting ready to hike mt leconte…wish i had a pair now

  772. Wise men say,
    you must pad your shoes
    But I can’t help,
    wearing my Xero boots

  773. 3 days left to write a post for the bonus entries LOL!

  774. I can’t wait!!!!!

  775. Loooving this <3

  776. Yay they arrived today!!

  777. Our son just bought both of these. We’ve been barefoot and minimal shoe for a few years now, and we’re pleased with Xero Shoes. Keep up the good work!

  778. I love both because they are lightweight and look very comfortable.

  779. XeroShoes are the next best thing to total barefeet. Only God can give us total barefeet. Xeroshoes can give us the next runner (sic) up.

  780. We’re getting close, people!

  781. My favorite today thing about the Coalton and DayLite Hiker, and all of Xero Shoes custom-made shoes, is the knowledge that 10% of my purchase price will be donated to the Tarahumara Children’s Hospital Fund. Knowing that my purchase is going to support a community in need is extremely worthwhile for me, and makes me far more inclined to buy more shoes 🙂 Thanks to Xero Shoes for their compassion.

  782. Even if it means I don’t get a pair of Coaltons (want the Black, have the Brown), you’ve *GOT* to get you a pair of these or the Hanas. Seriously. The Coaltons are epic, out of this world comfy. I’d gotten mine yesterday and wore them today. You can’t have ’em back Xero Shoes…mine, all MINE!

  783. How many days left? it’s a race now, which comes first, my shoes or the draw?

  784. You need to hike right with the daylite hiker!

  785. So far a few days wearing the coaltons…no words…just comfort!

  786. We are in the final stretch! Who will win?

  787. I live my life in XeroShoes!!!!

  788. Can’t wait to get to try them out!

  789. Dear people of the world,
Going barefoot doesn’t mean you are crazy, your shoes do not have to have ultra thick padding ( Xero shoes work just fine), and you don’t have to wear shoes to run. I hope someday you will figure that out.

    -Barefoot Lover

    P.S. Coaltons are awesome!!!!

  790. Xero Shoes = Going barefoot with shoes on!

  791. Woooooooo! I’m enjoying my Daylite Hikers. I was using them in the desert yesterday and they were so comfortable.

  792. The suspense is killing me!

  793. Name one situation where Black Daylite Hikers are NOT appropriate footwear!

  794. Hubby already has 3 pairs of XeroShoes and both the Coalton and the Daylite Hiker are on his new wish list!!!

  795. Thank you for these opportunities to get good for our feet shoes, especially with the cold days coming.

  796. In our house we have a few custom huaraches, a pair of Z trail, two Hanas, and a Prio. Three of the five of us wear xero-shoes on a daily basis. The other two just don’t have big enough feet yet. Its just good sense we add a pair or two of Daylight Hikers to the family!

  797. My wife got a pair of hikers ans Prio’s! She is a nurse over 33 years and absolutely loves these shoes! They truly are like walking barefoot! No more forced arches built into the shoes which normally creat pain in her feet! She wears them daily! Thanks as her feet are now very happy as is she!

  798. The time has gone by so fast!!! Only 2 more days!!

  799. Eager to try it!

  800. I’d love to try the Coalton.

  801. Patiently waiting for my exchange on the daylight hikers..also should be getting my exchange on the hanas in a couple days!!

  802. the daylight hikers are so comfortable looking and would be perfect for day hikes. Like going barefoot on hikes. Would be perfect for those with plantar fascistic which is why I would love a pair!

    1. Ha ha ha ha……”plantar fascistic”. Maybe that’s what’s making the alt-right so insane. Oh, the pain of it all !!!!

    2. Not sure the advice is welcome but I would have given almost anything for it while I was struggling with plantar fasciitis for at least a couple years which really hobbled my life no matter what kind of shoes I tried. I finally quit all grains (not just gluten but also corn, rice, millet, oats, and even quinoa and buckwheat as they seem at least cross-contaminated – and in that respect coffee often is too so it also went – as well as sugar) and it was gone in a week or two (so fast I did not even track it as I did not expect it to go away anymore at that point). I will never go back. I am grateful every moment that I can now walk several kilometers each day, and enjoy it. I hope the best for you as well.

      1. advice and experience with this is always welcome! Having tried so many shoes, and so many medical procedures with nothing working I am looking forward to trying this. Will have to research what foods contain those grains and see how to adjust the menu. thanks so much for the input!

        1. It’s not an easy thing to do in the beginning. It is shocking just how much these grains are in the everyday foods most people eat. But it must be a total abstention or it won’t work. Even a tiny bit can keep the inflammatory response inflamed (or re-inflame it, sometimes in a different way that could be even worse). Just gluten is in so much, including things like soy sauce, beer, and a popular Indian spice (Hing). But you can eat all the vegetables, and fruits, and nuts, seeds you want (as long as they are not cross-contaminated, and it is not counter-indicated by other condition such as diabetes), and if you eat meats then make them very good ones (try to avoid factory farmed as there are so many things about those that cause inflammation including that they are fed these grains too). Dairy and eggs can also be a problem for some people in part because these animals are also fed grains.

For me, just being gluten-free was not enough. I had to give up rice, corn, and the others grains and pseudo-cereals, so that’s why I suggest you take them all out too. I had gone gone on a raw diet that healed everything and stuck with it for 3 years but then started travelling which made it difficult so added rice and corn back in. That’s when the plantar fasciitis started and it took me a long time to figure it out, and several shoes, some very expensive ones!

It might help to get a coach (I speak from experience as I am now one). But once you make the adjustment it gets easy (especially as the pain is gone and probably many other things will also get better so you won’t want to go back with those incentives) and it will just be your new way of life that you will wonder why you did not discover sooner but will be grateful you finally did… then you will annoy others you know you can help free too but who do not really want help. 😀

Good shoes though are also helpful, when the pain recedes and you realize how wonderful it is to be able to walk again, as I do now, everywhere.

I wish you all the best, with your health, and the contest. 🙂

  803. I’ve had a couple of DIY huarache xero sandals and the Z-treks for a couple of years now. Then I bought the Prio and …..OMG! I couldn’t believe how comfortable, how “foot-like”, and how enjoyable shoes could be. So now I just ordered the Daylights and the Coaltons. It’s Xero Shoes all the way! Yippeeeee.

  804. I have not tried these yet but I think they would be perfect for hiking in the hills of Idhaho.

  805. I haven’t tried these yet but I like the style of the Daylight Hiker.

  806. Imagine there’s no padding
    It’s easy if you try
    No cramping toebox
    Only sweet DayLites

    Imagine all the people
    Wearing Xero shoes
You may say that they are comfy
    Making hiking lots of fun
I hope someday you’ll try them
And feel the world out in the sun.

  807. Hikers almost here…guess I need to start hiking soon™ 😀

  808. 2 days left to write a post for the bonus entries LOL! (I can’t believe this contest is almost over!)

  809. They look incredibly comfortable!

  810. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/998c4b38e02570e2ecbf6c3b3f2c1da5a50f92435790f4c3996e5618f321e12a.jpg Xero Shoes looks full of promise and adventure. I love my old Vasque boots that I’ve had since college. My beloved boots broke down in Iceland, so it may be time for a new pair perhaps?

  811. These are… very cute?! I’d love to replace my heinous looking hiking boots!

  812. They look fabulous! I only hope they are wide enough for my little flippers!

  813. I started with Fivefingers, since then I’ve tried Topo, Skora, Minimus and Tactical research Mini Mils for work. From what I’ve seen these look like they’ll be my new work boot for sure

  814. perfect for the trails in Pa

  815. I love the styles and comfort!

  816. My favorite thing today about the Coalton and DayLite Hiker is their flexibility. I sincerely appreciate the effort Xero Shoes put in to make sure the shoes are as flexible as possible, and I look forward to benefiting from this ability to move my feet naturally in the shoes.

  817. Been waiting for these type of shoes for years. These Z Trail are the start of my Xero shoes collection

  818. They’re stylin!

  819. I love em

  820. Life is right with the Day Lite.

  821. Nice lite walking and hiking footwear is a great idea.

  822. The DayLite hiker is one of the more stylish hikers I’ve seen.

  823. OK,
    I already posted a comment.
I said that during summer I always feel special at the office because I’m the only one wearing Xero shoes (usually Z-Trek, but occasionally my Venture), and, BRACE YOURSELVES, winter is coming…
So I just have to win the new Xero boots or I will stop being special during winter 🙁
NOW, it became worse, I went to a conference in Tel Aviv and found another person wearing Xero sandals (they’re uncommon in Israel)!!!
Now I must be the first Israeli to wear your new winter shoes.

  824. Coming from a winter country, not having seen a single pair of xero’s here at all, it’s time to get those DayLite hikers out there. 🙂

  825. I have a fear that the new Xero’s will look too much like normal shoes and that I will lose the extra attention from wearing better shoes than everyone else. Therefore, I’ve come up with a little something to sing whenever I’m entering a new group of people I’ll have to interact with. This will also come in handy if I have to remind “all the boys” why they should come running – which I probably won’t need. Feel free to sing along!

My Xero’s brings all the boys to the yard,
    And they’re like
    They’re better than yours,
    Damn right,
    They’re better than yours,
    I can sell you,
    But I have to charge

    I know you want it,
The thing that makes me what the guys go crazy for.
    They get a shock,
    The way I walk,
    Barefoot o’clock

    La, la, la, la, la,
    Tie it up,
    La, la, la, la, la,
    The boys are waiting

My Xero’s brings all the boys to the yard,
    And they’re like
    They’re better than yours,
    Damn right,
    They’re better than yours,
    I can sell you,
    But I have to charge

    Oh, once you get involved,
    Everyone will look this way
So, you must maintain your posture,
    Same time maintain your health,
    Just get the perfect shoe,
    Plus what you have within,
Then next his eyes are squint,
Then he’s picked up your shoe choice

    La, la, la, la, la,
    Tie it up,
    La, la, la, la, la,
    The boys are waiting

My Xero’s brings all the boys to the yard,
    And they’re like
    They’re better than yours,
    Damn right,
    They’re better than yours,
    I can sell you,
    But I have to charge

    1. Beautiful!

  826. Last two days 😉

  827. These look like great shoes for hiking in beautiful Idaho.

  828. I am so exited to try out the DLH in Utah!

  829. I love them cause they look so classic, they have a simple look

  830. Can’t wait to try these boots out! they look amazing and comfortable!

  831. I am really wanting to try these out in Canada!

  832. I love the shoes. I wear them every day! I can’t wait to try out the Coalton boots for the cooler weather.

  833. My feet are hungry for these shoes!

  834. I wear Xero shoes and go on a “feeling frenzy” every day:)

  835. If they last, they sound awesome!

  836. A comment for boots!!

  837. These sound great! I love my Z-Treks and am excited to try these!

  838. Welcome to your hike
    There’s no turning back
    Wearing new DayLites
You will feel the most of freedom
    And of pleasure
    Xero Shoes they last forever
Everybody wants to feel the world!

    1. I’ve really enjoyed you posts!

      1. Thank you. It’s been fun coming up with these! You’ve had some creative posts as well!

  839. 33 hours to go!

  840. Finances are tight right now, but I’d love love love to win a pair of your boots and try them.

  841. Love the wide toebox!

  842. Can’t really write to say that I deserve these new boots more than anyone else. In reality, all humans deserve them; it’s just that many of them still don’t know what it feels like to wear a shoe made for real feet, that functions like real feet and that feel just like real feet. All I can say is how grateful I am, from the bottom of my heart, that Xero Shoes is making this footwear. I’ve tried several other brands of “barefoot” minimalist shoes, and the vast superiority of Xero Shoes is evident from the moment you put these on. The only footwear that comes close are some custom made moccasins I got that cost quadruple the price. Kudos to you, Steven and Lena and the whole Xero team. You’re making the world a happier place.

    1. Hear hear!

  843. Anyone know how waterproof these things are? I want a waterproofish boot!

    1. From an e-mail that Steve Sashen sent out, listing one of the few reasons we might not be interested in these new styles:

“You’re looking for a totally waterproof hiking boot. The DayLite Hiker’s ballistic mesh is VERY protective and water resistant (check out the video reviews that talk about this at http://www.xeroshoes.com/boots/) but not “seamless, GoreTex, etc.””
      https://manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/web-view?c=LrM2Da&r=avTFbU8&m=KTPQU6&k=8186e651ca1c4f91d0d6e554afc92fe8

I hope that helps. Please have an awesome day.

    2. In a video on this page, Steven says that the boots aren’t waterproof, but are highly water repellant. He gave the example of someone who squirted water on the boots to wash off some dog poop and the feet stayed totally dry. Maybe if you were out in a downpour for hours sloshing through puddles it would be a different story. But probably for dew and light rain should be OK. My Prios stay nicely dry inside in those conditions so I’m guessing it would be similar with the boots.

    3. Steven says they are highly water resistant; he talks about it at 8:25 in the Q & A video above 🙂

  844. stoked to be barefoot and be able to wear socks when the weather gets chilly on the job!

  845. My favorite thing today about the Coalton or Daylite Hiker is that Xero Shoes offers a free exchange on new shoes for any reason, such as if we happen to order the wrong size or style. Xero Shoes is kind enough to offer prepaid return shipping in the first 30 days for this exchange, which definitely makes me feel very confident about ordering from them.

    More info here:
    https://xeroshoeslabs.com/return-policy/

  846. These would be great the next time I go hiking the Tatra mountains in Poland. Last time I was there, I went in my homemade, very-thin soled leather mocassins-fine on the way up, a bit slippery on the way down. But, despite some pain, I loved going through the mountains without a gigantic cushion like everyone we passed. Hope I’ll get to have a pair of these boots next time I’m there!

  847. I have been following Xero for about 6 months now. I have searched hundreds of pages deep on google, amazon, and ebay for minimalist sandals similar to a pair that I bought back in 1994 on a street corner before a Grateful Dead show. They were the most amazing pair of sandals every…they lasted for nearly 6 years (easily 2-3k miles). I have been searching for something to replace these sandals ever since. I keep reading the wonderful reviews. I really want to try these shoes…and now they have boots…I really need to find one of these Stores. It may take a roadtrip to buy shoes. Good Luck, XeroShoes!!

  848. Really liking the expanding lineup. Please keep it up

  849. Exactly the footwear I’ve been waiting for!

  850. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/8ea9d3991ae3325b9e5a142b578e3cafab48cf64e91b37cfbe5fb347c339e010.jpg

Even my cat loves my Hanas and I’m sure she would love these Xero Boots too!

  851. They look so comfy and well made!! I can’t decide between the Coalton or the Daylight hiker.

  852. these are boots i can really sink my feet into!

  853. The Coalton looks like the kind of footwear that would make my feet happy. I like their casual while sturdy appearance. They would fit well with my relaxed life and style.

  854. Im stoked that there are now boots, especially for hiking, even though I have out-hiked plenty of booted hikers while wearing my Z-treks

  855. Can I wear in operating room all day?

  856. I need to feel the earth under my feet.

  857. Those Hikers are calling!

  858. I want to feel the Xero in the Daylite Hiker!!!!!

  859. Mmmmm, boots!

  860. Who will be the winner?

  861. the hikers look like a shoe i am looking for 🙂 love the idea of my zeros with cold weather protection!

  862. I love the style of the Coalton!

    1. It does look comfortable doesn’t it?

  863. My next to last comment here before my “I WON SUCKERS!” comment.

  864. sorry, I’m more of a fundamental barefooter… I don’t like to have an artificial layer between me and the earth.

  865. Woohoo! Burgundy DayLite hikers, Yes PLEASE!!!

  866. I want to stomp through a blueberry patch in the burgundy DayLite Hikers!

  867. Only a few more hours!! I hope I will be one of the lucky ones! It is getting colder so I won’t be able to wear my huraches much longer. I really hope to win some DayLite Hikers!!

  868. DayLite Hiker looks very nice and comfortable.

  869. Can’t wait to win with the snow starting to fly!

  870. All of the colors for the DLH are so cool I can’t decide which one I should get. Any suggestions?

  871. These boots look comfortable.

  872. So glad to have so many closed toe options

  873. I would love a good-looking urban winter boot worthy of icy streets & snow, and cold Canadian winters! I wear barefoot sandals & shoes all year, except winter. This winter I am happy that I will be wearing my DayLites as much as possible, but when the temps drop below minus 10 C (14 F), and there is 2 feet of snow outside, I’ll have to go back to my clunky thick soled winter boots 🙁

Could Xero design a barefoot inspired winter boot that is tall enough to keep the snow from coming in over the top of the boots, and has insulated upper and footbed? 🙂 <3

  874. Oh baby, DayLite hikers, please come with me to my hometown! I will take you up the steep mountains, I will take you sailing in the fjords, heck I will even take you to see the northern lights in the middle of the night! Or the middle of the day – it doesn’t matter! I will give you some space when you need it, I can walk nude for a little while…I will take you with me on my greatest adventures and I will kiss you goodnight. Maybe – if you’d like – we’ll go mushroom and berry picking, or we can jump rivers! We can run down the highest mountains just as I did as a kid. I will show you all the great routes so you don’t have to bend too much. Just please, baby, please! I promise you I will make it worthwhile. We can go to Paris and put the lock on it, if it makes you believe I’m serious about this! I’M READY TO SETTLE DOWN OKAY!?!
Please don’t make me wait any longer.
    Your love.
    Ester.

    1. Brilliant post Ester – I envy the DayLite Hikers!

  875. I’m excited to test these out in the Caribbean.

  876. I like the style & comfort!

  877. I am really impressed with the choice of colors of the Daylite Hiker!

  878. I cannot wait to get my first pair! I am thinking about a trip to Egypt and Israel in the next couple years and would love to find some decent shoes to wear for this walking intensive vacation!

  879. I am in love with the DayLite Hikers! Jumping over limbs in the woods, running down the trails & in general comfort for my feet.

  880. I would love to wear the DayLite Hikers on our 200 acre farm which at times is like our own little Vietnam thick with brush and trees. I definitely would not let my hound, CHEVY, chew them like he did my last pair!

  881. Ok. Here’s my last one..Elton style!

    Goodbye padded thick sole
I’ve moved on to something light
Feel the world in my Xeros
When I go for a hike

Back to my roots when I I tromp through the woods
    With a pair of DayLites
Oh I’ve finally found my future lies
Beyond the padded thick sole….Ahh ahhh

  882. I love the way they both look

  883. I like that these are multi-purpose. They can be worn in the city or out on the trails.

  884. T minus 14 hours left! Woot Woot !

  885. We trail run and hike, starting five minutes from home. So grateful to live in central Idaho mountains. Only, I need better boots. HINT HINT 🙂

  886. Well final hours, good luck everybody!

  887. Wow – today is the last entry day!! Best of wishes to those that entered 😀
(ahem, ahem, pick me – pick me *wink*)

  888. I’m not witty or a creative writer, just someone who want a comfortable hiking or just plain shoes that keep me going on the trials or parks that I go to with my family.

  889. Last chance to score a pair of these cool shoes!

  890. How cool are these new boots?! From the minimalist sandal they make to these new boots which can be used when it’s colder, need more protection or needing a comfortable shoe to wear to work – this company rocks!

  891. I’ve worn Xeroshoes sandals for years. My job as a Zipline operator at Sundance requires closed toe shoes. The DLH would be perfect! I meet dozens on guests each day who would see my unique shoes and ask questions. 🙂

  892. These do look fantastic. Sporty, yet functional. It is like hiding the fact that you are walking around barefoot.

  893. The DayLite would be great for upcoming camping trip. I like the Coalton as well, very nice looking!

  894. Great to wear since they provide good protection on your feet outside.

  895. Love my Prio shoes and wear them everywhere. They are so light and good for packing in a carryon suitcase. Can’t wait until I get my new Daylight Hike

  896. As a weird mustachioed dad, I’ve been running unshod or with Steven’s original do-it-yourself kit huaraches since 2010! I just bought some Prios today (pair for me and pair for my son) and can’t wait to try them out. When I heard that there is also a hiking boot from Xero Shoes I just about lost my mind with excitement. If I win, I will throw away all my other non-Xero Shoes shoes! Thank you, Steven and Lena!

  897. I could use this win.

  898. take a hike will you!!Xero shoes are the best

  899. Love my Lena’s and my DIY sandals and my Z-trail sandals and I think these boots are going to be awesome too! I’ve been waiting for so long for boots, especially ones that are somewhat water resistant for dewy mornings. I love the Xero Shoe feel and am very excited for my pair! Purple too how fun!

  900. Enjoying my Coalton’s, in black, for everyday casual wear. They are a bit wider feeling than my Hana’s but, still very comfortable!

  901. I’m broke, but I need a pair of boots for winter. These would be perfect!

  902. My favorite thing today about the Coalton and DayLite Hiker is the honesty of the company behind them, Xero Shoes. Steven Sashen e-mailed us to let us know about the sale, and made sure that we were aware that these shoes were not perfect, and that there were a few reasons we might not want to purchase them. That honesty and dedication to exceptional customer service is very impressive, and I look forward to continuing to support such a compassionate company.

    From Steven’s e-mail:
    https://manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/web-view?c=9Rt2Gy&r=avTwELF&m=J6pdXA&k=07bc996232b341591f5b67e880790f63

  903. I am getting back into hiking and I really need a great pair.

  904. I really want a pair I hike lot and do a lot of walking from my house to town about 5 miles a day.

  905. These look so cool!

  906. I like that the Coalton Natural FIT – Wide, anatomically correct toe boxes let your toes spread and relax; but I don’t think that you make them for women!

  907. I like hiking with my family and the Daylite Hiker looks so comfortable.

  908. Everyday is right with the Day Lite.
    Elevate yourself with zero drop.

The Day Lite hiker also known as the Huarache Hiker.

All this Mesquitely manliess in one shoe,
I don’t know how they did it but the Xero team always delivers.

    Xero problems.

  909. Looking forward to my awesome new pair!

  910. The DayLite hiker and Coalton are so cool I’d finish a hike in the Day time, then head out for the nightlife with the Coalton.

  911. First day on trails with the Daylite Hiker and they were broken in less than an hour. Went off trail for a while and it was so nice to have the protection of boots for the briers and the like in addition to feeling the earth. Until now it’s always been one or the other. I’ll be back in them tomorrow!

  912. Please, please, please, please, please, let me win!!! I don’t have enough money to buy them!!!!

  913. The Daylight Hiker looks comfortable. Comfort is my favorite thing! =)

  914. They both look very durable and comfortable.

  915. Best shoes on the planet! Never thought a minimalist shoe could be the answer to all my foot ailments! Xero pain with these on!

    1. Same here. I tried all of the inserts to try to cushion my feet more, but it just got worse, until now with these shoes, incredible really. Still have some pain, but not like I used to.

  916. Did I win? 😀

    I must have…since I am wearing Xero shoes I am a winner… Ipso facto…I must have won….irrefutable logic 😉

    Now gief boots! …prettyplease…… (“,)

  917. Bummer I didn’t win. Looks like a long winter ahead of me hiking in ztreks. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a64cb271a417f1a05f1889d519313184e2a3a5d0266048988a9ddc9fe8df8853.jpg

  918. Congrats to all winners!!

  919. Xero Shoes should make a black and gray pair of the DLH. I think that would look really cool!

  920. Did you guys ever announce the winners of the comments?

    1. We’re still debating some of the entries. (We got distracted by suddenly having to open our own warehouse!)

      1. Ah thanks, no worries! I just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I watched the video about the new warehouse. It’s awesome to see you guys growing so much!

  921. How are they on the top where the lace goes? I wanted to get a pair for my husband, but he has osteoarthritis..bone spur right below the ankle and between where the laces usually land, so he has to wear tennis shoes and does not lace them all the way up and buys 1.5 size bigger, so it doesn’t hurt his foot. It is a floppy mess, but that is what works. Not so gracious when dressing up for work, but that’s all he can do. Help!? Lose fitting at the top? yay or nay?

    1. a) On the one hand, they’re as loos as you choose to tie them.

      b) If he’s already tying tennis shoes loosely then I’m not sure a boot is your best bet. You may want to check out our Prio running/fitness shoe instead.

  922. AAAAGGGHHH !!! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING MEEEEEEEE3EE3E3EE3E3E3E3E ……..!!!!

  923. Love that you have a boot format, however I’d love it even more if you had something that was a little more water resistant and maybe chemical resistant? I would love a xero boot for work. Currently the only zero drop boot that works for me at work is the Lems Boulder boot. But it’s not minemal enough. The coalton is close, but needs a higher ankle, even higher than the daylight hiker preferably. My personal preference would be a high top Hana that was leather or similarly waterproof/chemical resistant, with a sewn sole rather than shoe glue. (As the glue doesn’t hold up to the daily abuse of wet floors… I tried). Obviously I don’t expect a shoe designed for me. But a guy can dream right?

    1. Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll pass them on to our product developer. Our goal, of course, is to have products for everyone for everything. The challenge, of course, is deciding what to do and when to do it, given the resources we have available.

  924. Did you guys ever announce the winners of the comments?

    1. We emailed the winners… I thought we posted them here. I’ll have to check and edit the page.
